    Just got back in.

Perfect night for viewing, crystal clear, about 10F, not a breath of wind, and I'm at about 1800 ft. elevation.

Much better time spent than listening to the bloviations of BO tonight.

We have some clear sky and I got a peek. just Nocks steadied on a tree at the edge of my yard.
The thing looks close. tail like flames and a nice bright glow on the lead edge.

A telescope with a camera would be nice.

    Oh, and a balmy 21 F here..
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

We couldn't find any place low enough, but we also didn't start looking until 11 so that was probably a reason. Gonna try to be a little earlier this time.

"Masterful and arrogant wealth, created largely by Government protection of its profits, not content with its domination and influence within a single party, had sought to corrupt them both, and to that end had insinuated itself into the primaries, in order that no candidates might be nominated whose views were not in accord with theirs." (‘Colonel’ Edward Mandell House in 'Philip Dru: Administrator', circa 1912)
