Thread: Communication in the Revolution

    Communication in the Revolution

It's no secret that our government spys on us. I'm fairly certain that there have been some people from The Deptartment of Homeland Security on these forums. (I'm sure the CIA, NSA, maybe even the FBI, too) Who knows. Many at RPFs believe things are going to get much worse. If that is the case, communication via the internet may become to dangerous.

What I suggest is starting up some kind of decentralized communication operation. Such as individuals delivering paper messages between each other. Creating a brand new coding system for messages might be something to begin. Maybe a message can be split up into fragments and sent via different methods, and encoded with different coding methods.

I don't know, I've been up a while. The point is, for any resistence to be effective it will need secure communication.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

*Edit: I had a dream last night the Joe Biden was President. It was one of those spooky "this is the future" kind of dreams.

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

thoughts and suggestions on this subject should be talked about in your local meet up, then talked about in your regional meet up not openly on a forum. this forum could be owned by government agents and you would never know

For short range coms, FRS radios. Marine VHF radios work well also. Both are cheap, readily available (for now) and weatherproof.

For long range coms, you could CB with linear amps, ham or marine single sideband.

Courier communications is simple enough to not really have to think about it too much.

A simple phrase keycode is all that would be needed.

Not that easily. An EMP is a short range device. It would not harm equipment that is either well shielded or is turned off and powered down.
They would have to get it close to the radio in the woods.

I have only one other thing to say on this subject.

I agree that we should have an alternate form of communication and organization for the Revolution in the case that the internet is either no longer available or useless to us for some other reason.

Perhaps we should be organized by Meetup, and at the very least the Meetup heads should be sent e-mail, phone, address or other contact info of all the other Meetups *shrug*.

We tried. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to get e-mail addresses from meetup organizers, let alone phone numbers and forget about addresses!

There is a database and we wanted to make a directory.

CB radio! who uses that anymore! Maybe shortwave radios...if you want EMP proof I'd say smoke signals, telegraph? or tin cans and string.

Flags such as those used on ships were big forms of communication for a while.

The non-working cell phone towers could be used in combination with a telescope if it comes to it.

Every Ron Paul / CFL MeetUp should discuss and decide on primary and backup emergency meeting places and procedures for maintaining lines of communication. Snail Mail, HAM, Usenet, or messenger pigeon are options that will survive Obammunism and SHTF.
This used to be a free system.

This is really important. The internet what keeps the freedom movement. We have to find a way to make sure the internet stays alive.
