Buying Silver Bullion Online (Paypal/Credit Cards)

    Just a heads up:

    http://www.ScottsdaleSilver.com

Accepts Paypal and Credit Cards. Very easy website with good pricing!

Also important note, silver is in stock and ships within days. Rare for a bullion dealer these days.

Never heard of Scottsdale Silver, but they are too expensive. A 100oz bar is way cheaper at Apmex.com and i know they are legit. Bought there many times, never a problem.

Where's the cheapest to buy? It looks like their prices are on par with how much you can them for on Ebay right now.

Yeah, plus 3% of the subtotal. Apmex is sleazy with that shipping charge.

OK, Here are the facts as of 9:15 PM Monday

Ampex still wins, even though Scottsdale offers free shipping. This is the proof people, PLUS i would take a Johnson Mathey bar anytime over an Academy bar, which i have never ever heard of..... And i am not affiliated with any company.

Have you ever ordered from APMEX?

I know a 10oz bar is 9 dollar shipping and two 10oz bars is 12 dollars.

    Very cheap!

Bullion Direct has 1 oz rounds for just over a $1 over spot, and shipping and handling is only $20 if you pay by check or wire transfer.

I think so. Some items on their website say "delayed", and this wasn't one of them. I have ordered from them before, and they are prompt.

Watch out for their handling fees. $5.95 + 4%.

It looks to me that the Scottsdale place is the cheapest. Does anyone see any reason not to buy from them?

mmm.. they take paypal. Sell junk from garage = buy silver.
Looks to be another alternative besides fleabay and bullion direct.

with e-bay, paypal, credit cards a percentage goes to the banks.

that is passed on to you.

go to a local coin show on a Sunday, find a dealer that will sell without a receipt for cash

    Cindy,

Sure - but the deal at Scottsdale right now is STILL cheaper than most cash dealers (if they have much to pick from) Plus if you use the eCheck option, you get an additional 1% store credit.

Point is to use a mix of methods to build your stash.

    purepaloma.. you work for Scottsdalesilver?

I picked up a few of the 10 oz "stackers". I like them lots and wish I'd picked up more when silver was down.

www.scottsdalesilver.com has FREE shipping over $500 orders, and it's only a flat rate of $6.50 otherwise.

Plus the prices you see are for Credit Cards, so you get the bonus miles/points & protection. Most other dealers slap on a big surcharge.

Also attractive is that they only sell silver that is in stock. Many others are under capitalized and need the customer's money first and then place the order with the mint. This is why so many people feel burned with the 1-2 month delays at other places. Not all ounces are created equal -- but once they are in your hands it's a great feeling!

To Apmex? I think they need it in 5 businesses days. Send it ASAP. Put your order number on the check too.
