Until Glenn Beck really shows a true conversion on foreign policy, I won't trust him. With that said, he does closely share our economic views from what I have heard. But then at the same time, he doesn't blast the Republicans and say they are ALL fake conservatives with regards to spending.

Edit: Don't Trust at All for Now!

Actually, he did deride McCain often on his show. And, when Congress had ended its session earlier this year and the Republicans declared they would stay even "in the dark", he publicly kept saying I have little faith they will do anything. He also considered voting third party for a long time, actually having Barr and Paul on his show. I think he believes most Republicans have lost their way, but that there are some good examples.

On foreign policy, I can understand his hesitation. It is a huge jump for somebody to make, and the fact he hears the other side and lets people talk(unlike Lou Dobbs' show I may add) is a huge step. He definitely isn't like the type who shut down opposition. His views have adjusted to accomodate a big tent is all. You won't hear him saying Ron Paul isn't a true Republican at least.

Either that or he was brought on to be the new face of Republicanism. Don't forget that in 8 years when its time to elect a new president, people will go back to thinking the Democrats are the war party and Republicans are anti war. The neocons can then rig the election to have a neocon beat a real libertarian conservative and go against a war mongering democrat only to flip flop on all of his stances after being elected.

    hmm.. yup, sounds familiar.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual. - Thomas Jefferson
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

He can declarehimself a bunny rabbit and it will not make it so. The fact of the matter is if he truly went libertarian FAUX NOISE would fire him in a second. Hell maybe he will become a great anchor and someone deserving of my respect. I'm not ruling it out, but he seems like a garden variety neocon from what I've seen. Admitidly however, I haven't seen much of him.

Never heard him use neocon-speak, but he's never been an outspoken libertarian, that I know of.

On his homepage he posted an interview with the girl who sold her virginity...deja vu! Remember when I posted that story on RPF?
