Which is the best Michael Scheuer book?

I'm thinking of picking up a book by Michael Scheuer book so i can get a better understanding of terrorism and the United State's actions overseas. Has anyone here read any of his books? Can you recommend one?

I'm thinking of getting Imperial Hubris but he seems to have some other good books written.

Also, can anyone recommend any other books similar to these i should possibly pick up? Thanks a lot guys.

Through Our Enemies' Eyes ---- I've noted a bunch of times I think it's the best book I've read in years. It gets to the core of why there is terrorism and how the MSM portrays Bin Laden is completely bogus.

So you would recommend that over Imperial Hubris?

I haven't read Hubris yet -- it's on the list.

    Read them both!

Yea i might just spend a little extra and do that. I hope they aren't too similar though.

If you want a real understanding of terrorism, read what the terrorists themselves have to say.

Read Ma'alim fi al-Tariq, or Milestones, by Sayyid Qutb, idealogical founder of the Muslim Brotherhood and its offshoots. It's definatley a must read, he pretty much created the modern definition of jahiliyya.

I read Imperial Hubris but not the other one. He wrote in the book that he deliberately avoided topics in the first as not to repeat himself. One of the most important things in the book is the six points he describes as Bin Laden's key motivation:

    "
    - U.S. support for Israel that keeps Palestinians in the Israelis' thrall.
    - U.S. and other Western troops on the Arabian peninsula.
    - U.S. occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan.
    - U.S. support for Russia, India, and China against their Muslim militants.
    - U.S. pressure on Arab energy producers to keep their oil prices low.
    - U.S. support for apostate, corrupt, and tyrannical Muslim governments.
    "

I plan on reading the other one soon.

If I had to pick just one, I would say to read Imperial Hubris, but they're both essential.

Also, can anyone recommend any other books similar to these i should possibly pick up? Thanks a lot guys.
