Dear All,
Good news! The Republican Liberty Caucus of Maryland will have its first meeting on Friday, Dec. 19 in Annapolis at the Republican Party of Maryland HQ. The meeting will take place at 6:30pm and the featured speaker is Maryland Delegate Joe Boteler, III. If you plan to attend the meeting, please reply to this e-mail with an RSVP.
Del. Boteler has sponsored bills to increase accountability and transparency in government, legalize video slot machines, remove the motorcycle helmet law, protect homeschooling, reduce sales taxes, enact statewide spending limits. We applaud his efforts to preserve liberty in Maryland and look forward to hearing from him. Other key guests will include Matthew Gagnon, Maryland RLC Co-Contact as well as 2008 Republican U.S. House candidates Collins Bailey and Richard Matthews.
The Republican Liberty Caucus is an "action caucus" dedicated to restoring individual liberty, limited government, and free market principles to the Republican Party. The RLC has recently been chartered in DC and Virginia and is pleased that the Maryland RLC is now forming. The RLC is not a group for conspiracy theorists, philosophers uninterested in grassroots politics, or those who do not believe in individual liberty in both the social and economic spheres.
RLC'ers take pragmatic steps to build relationships in and out of the Republican Party and their communities to make change possible for the GOP, steering its platform, endorsing pro-liberty candidates, and becoming a part of local (and state) GOP leadership teams.
You can learn more about the RLC at www.RLC.org and join us at www.RLC.org/pay/ . TEN dues paying members are required to charter (i.e., become formal), so if you believe that the GOP can be reformed and return to libertarian principles, please join today.
Please forward this invitation to others who may be interested.
For Liberty,
Aaron Biterman
