    Auto Industry Spent $50 million lobbying This Year

    The auto industry spent nearly $50 million lobbying Congress in the first nine months of this year.

    Gee, what a terrible investment that was if they don't get any bailouts.

    I think I'd've spent it on a new car design, in that position...
