    Better than Coleman
I ignore the fact that RP's take back the GOP strategy is working. I ignore the fact that RP accomplished more from his 2008 GOP run than he ever has before. I ignore the fact that 3rd party candidates lose and are a joke to voters. I ignore all this b/c I have an arousing fantasy where RP runs 3rd party in 2012, magically polls at 15%, magically is allowed in the debates, and then magically wins the election. Trust me, it'll work this time.

I didn't vote Franken! However, I've got at least a dozen fliers from his campaign, not the mention the phone calls...

I think Coleman will be better than Franken now that Bush is out of office. Yes he has been a bad Senator and yes that is a poor sign of leadership but Franken is plain awful.

FWIW, I voted for James Niemackl from the Constitution Party.

under the direction of the most wealthy citizens." - Anonymous framer of the US Constitution, Independent Gazetteer, January 29, 1791

I must say that I'm SHOCKED that Niemackl has more votes in MN than Baldwin.

With 51% of the vote Niemackl has 4316 compared to 3307 for Baldwin. Considering the Senate race had a strong 3rd party candidate in Dean Barkley I never would have thought Niemackl would perform this strongly as lots of the 'protest' votes were going to Barkley.

Do you think Barkley took more votes from Coleman or Franken? What is this Independence party thingy?

As much as I don't like Jesse Ventura... I wish the coin he flipped told him to run!

The Minnesota Independence Party is a moderate 3rd party that is not affiliated with any national party (although they were talking about forming a coalition with other like-minded non-affiliated parties). They were originally the Reform Party after Ross Perot's run in 1996. Jesse Ventura was elected Governor from the Reform Party. When Buchanan took over the party in 2000 they disaffiliated from the Reform Party and changed their name to "Independence" since Minnesota law forbids major parties from using the word "Independent" in their party name.

Huge improvement over that nut Coleman.

Counties slow to report are more for Franken. With Hennepin and iron range coming in later Franken should win.

Any comment yet from Joe Piscopo?
