Angry Fed prints 120 Billion for foreign central banks!

    http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?p...YtM&refer=news

"Oct. 30 (Bloomberg) -- The Federal Reserve agreed to provide $30 billion each to the central banks of Brazil, Mexico, South Korea and Singapore, expanding its effort to unfreeze money markets to emerging nations for the first time. "

So instead of those central banks printing their own money and inflating their country's currency, they will help inflate ours.

We have to stop them they are going to bleed us dry!

why did they do this? what it the "real" reason?

is it because we owe them debt and this is a way to put off the call for repayment?

    ANOTHER misleading post title.

We can't afford the cost of printing that much fiat money!

Instead they just enter the following keystrokes in the fed's "masterflater" computer: 1, 2,

..and then they press the "Zero" key ten times followed by a press of the "Enter" key, then the "Y" key, and finally, with a press of the "Enter" key the money is on it's way...

The above and the thread title are entirely incorrect. The Fed is not printing/creating money here. The Fed has been using the Treasury Supplemental Financing Program to fund this and other lending programs. This provides the Fed the fuel for more lending without selling more assets off of its balance sheet.

What you need to examine is the monetary base and the money supply aggregates. The monetary base is growing, but nowhere near the amounts suggested here (and there are many other lending programs to account for). The money supply is not growing in recent weeks (slightly up from six weeks ago, substantially down in the last few weeks). This is because reserve balances are increasing (the banks are not lending this new money).

Misleading, yes. But not for the reasons you state above.
