Let's not forget that Kucinich suffered more or less the same fate the Paul did during their respective primaries.
As Nader said, it isn't the republicans or democrats that necessarily take the win. It's war, corporatism, and destruction of privacy.
There's a reason that people like the Prohibition Party and Christian Falangists don't make the kind of serious efforts that Greens and Libertarians do, because they're already having their wishes fulfilled by the duopoly. And I'd be willing to bet that if an independent ever ran on a Lieberman-esque platform, they'd have a strong chance of winning.
