Default Regs/homeowners association says you can't keep chickens?

Where there is a REGULATION, you will find someone out there working AROUND it.

Why can't everybody else leave everybody else alone?

I posted a chicken blog to my website that follows how we got chickens here in my hometown of Wake Forest, NC.

I think that anyone who is self-sufficiency minded should consider the keeping of chickens, rabbits, and bees in any environment... rural or urban.

ask them if they would squat out eggs for you instead...

sorry, you cant produce food, then you would have wealth.

I guess the neighbors won't hear the clucking. Great idea though. But it looks a bit small for three full size birds. In a SHTF situation I doubt if the neighbors will care if you have some chickens since you'll be selling them eggs.

What in general? Or under a regular homeowners' association set of by-laws? Or in a SHTF event? Please be a little more specific.
