barney frank said that there "will be no bill" if...

the House Republicans continue to reject the President's approach.

    WE CAN WIN.

the house republicans have come up with a completely different, insurance buy in deal for banks with the mortgages, which, while being lame, is not a permanent move to socialism like this.

they are putting that out there to look like theyre trying, but bottom line they are rejecting the bill and Pelosi said they do not want to push this if it has to be partisan(aka the dems and Bush against the House Republicans, the far left, and the far right)

Well you really can't flip-flop on this issue...what more needs to be discussed??? You'll be spending at least $700 billion, and then any other pork slapped on this puppy. What honestly could change your mind if you're against this legislation?? Better yet, as Ron Paul has said several times, how in the world can you justify a vote for this legislation to your constituents?? This is great fodder in the years to come...

I expect in the Senate, the votes will break down by: those up for re-election this year will vote against, those two and four years out overwhelmingly for (they expect we will forget)

Our real chance is the HouseI think, they are all up and I think they know it is political suicide. Keep hammering them!

What you see is the realization that McCain is a Liberal Democrat, as is Bush.

    Shocking, I know.

Good, I say. It about time Republicans did something right. They've only been royally $#@!ing us over the last 7.5 years. They know the People are overwhelmingly against this $#@!, and that they have districts to go home to. They don't want to step off the plane and be greeted thousands of pissed off Americans.

The Republicans are okay as an opposition party.

I wish they weren't such pushovers while they had control of Congress.

My opinion, Barney Frank is a traitorous crook who has been only humoring Dr. Paul all of this time pretending to be his friend. (Kinda like Barr)

The fact that these crooks would even think of putting this crap off on the American Taxpayer shows how completely evil they are...

Does anybody really believe a word that old W. Bushlittle (very much like Chicken Little) says anymore? "The Sky Is Falling"

He should have been saying "my buddies are loosing money" all along because that is what both the War on Terrorism and this Bailout are really all about after all...

Give me a stinkin break peeps....

I'll beleive this when I see it. My bet is that all the political posturing that has been going on is to make McCain look like a saint.

What the plan is, is to make THe Dems and Bush look bad. Thus creating an illusion that McCain is not on their side. Then a deal will be made and they will blow horns from the Angels on high that the saviour John McLame, who by the way probably doesn't even understand how to print onto paper, came up with the master plan.

Be absolutely sure you call and let the Republicans that are saying no know that they need to KEEP saying no. Let them know we are keeping score on who is doing what.

I hope not...If McCain comes out against the bailout tomorrow all what you're saying happens...I'm gonna be sick.

This is it. If they pass this thing or any kind of bailout at all, we really should be waiting for them when they arrive home in protest!

What do you think folks, should we arrange a bunch of Welcome Home Committees for our wonderful representatives?

No. I don't think he'll come out against it. The other Republicans will praise him for making a bill that made sense for all the people of the country. And of course the Dems will vote for it. They've been dying for this day. They won't block this bill, they'll just try to denounce that it had anything to do with McCain. I mean seriously I can't buy it until I see it not passed. That reason lies largly with the fact the Republican party has not voted Republican in a very long time. By all means I hope they've found their souls. But I'm a man of little faith.

I'm sure that its posturing all right. However, I was watching a press conference tonight with Paul Ryan and Eric Cantor, and I'm pretty darn sure one of them said that it wasn't McCain's idea. If anyone can find a Youtube of it, would you please post a link somewhere?
The Democrats had a press conference a few minutes before the Republicans, and the Dems, Barney Frank in particular, used it as an opportunity to snipe at McCain for ditching the debate for the Senate meeting. So of course, that demanded a defense from the Republicans about how he came because it's his job as Senator. Hmm. It was almost like Frank was handing them a chance to sing McCain's praises. Who's side is he on anyway?

Well, if this continues things will get pretty bad. We'll have a severe recession for a year or two, after that we can get back on track and prosper. What they are doing right now will make things 10-100 times worse for us down the road. There is no way to avoid the pain. All we can hope for is to let it go down and rebuild now rather then having things get even worse and have total chaos down the road.

I could be wrong. I'm doing that specualting thing. However, I'm viewing this as a chess match rather than checkers. If I get to post a youtube on my belief I won't be able to do it till at least tomorrow evening, or possibly monday. At which time my belief is that the Republicans will sing praises of McCains insight that saved this bill and America.

    Welcome Home Committees!?!?

Join The Paul Side said something in another thread that gives me this Idea.

If/when our fine representatives pass a bailout plan that puts us American Taxpayers at risk and/or makes us shoulder the burden. Why don't we organize and give all of them a welcome home to remember for a long time, where we make it clear to them that they will not hold office much longer? (No violence of course...)

Who's up for something like this folks?

Sorry for posting this here again, I was intending to make a new post of it.... Late night here.
