Oppose the bailout - Campaign for Liberty's first big task

If the Campaign for Liberty wants an early test of its effectiveness, it should put all of its efforts into opposing this monsterous bailout proposal.

I mean, the CFL has been given an issue all gif warpped and everything that's right with everything Dr. Paul has been saying for the past year and a half about coporate bailouts and how unsteady our financial system is.

The CFL should really work on Republicans members of Congress, especially the backbenchers like Jeff Flake and Mike Pence to go after this crappy deal and point out the conflict of interests between Henry Paulson and his former employer Goldman Sachs.

If we're going save our Republic as we said we would at the rally, we need to stop this socialist takeover of the financial system now! This is tailor made for us. Let's get going!

I'd tend to agree. The CFL needs to get organized around this issue ASAP.

We need them to do a big time filibuster in Congress until the phone lines melt saying NO.

He rewrites headlines to actual stories.

    Here is the story.

Here are some comments from the blog.

"Goldman submits to scrutiny! Talk about too little; too late. Huge paychecks now to be paid by American taxpayers Imagine someone earning $!0-$20 an hour being asked to help finance $100 million bonuses!

    - a worst-case scenario for this country. And all of the congressmen rushing to prevent the emergency! Where were all of you when this was becoming an emergency? Enjoying the party, of course.

Why is no question being raised when Paulson’s own company is one of the only survivors of this crisis?

People wake up! These guys are STEALING FROM YOU AND ME!

A Gilded Parachute to the very people who brought us all to the brink of worldwide economic collapse. This is moral hazard. This is morally bankrupt. This is absolutely disgusting.

I wonder what Paulson’s “options” take is????

I just called my Congressman's office and sent him an email urging him to vote against the bailout bill. My Congressman is William Jefferson. The person that answered said that he would pass the message along.

Today is the day to put the pressure on them. The CFL isn't completely organized yet, but we can be. We are citizens, not sheeple. This is the way to play. Call your congressman and email him/her. Let's ALL do it, and maybe a few will listen!

ASAP is an Understatement... WHy do you think CONGRESS is trying to FASTRACK this through by Saturday?

Once, they commit the TAXPAYERS to this ABYSS, we are all going down shackled to financial anchors.

This is an ALARMING ACTION needed against this FINANCIAL TYRANNY.

EMAIL and contact everyone you know, contact all of CONGRESS, Call, email & snail mail.

ANY PAC that opposes a BAILOUT, contact, UNITE. We all need to UNITE against the Financial NWO at OUR expense.

If they truly cared about the people, why don't they just bailout the DEPOSITORS via FDIC. They're the ones who would have the biggest impact with.

Bank fails, Bailout the Depositor's liquid assets, not the FIAT/Deriative crap of the Banks and Financial Institutions!

UNITE, COMMUNICATE, and OPPOSE the TREASON within our elected officials.

Agreed! What's the purpose of our 100,000+ strength if we don't put it to use here?

I presume tomorrow's email from Ron Paul will be a call to action to stop the bailout.

We don't have much time and I question anyone who says we should wait until Thursday to mobilize. They're trying to push this bill through in the next few days.

We want to let you know about an important new initiative,www.VoteNoBailout.org. Please check it out, take action today, and forward widely to friends, classmates, co-workers, activists and bloggers.
Demand that the Bailout Legislation Be Rejected
We are witnessing a bankers' coup d'etat. In the name of saving the economy from a crisis created by their own greed and immense profits, Bush and the biggest bankers have taken a country and a people hostage.
"Give us your money and tear up what's left of your Constitution or we will sink your economy," is the message from Wall Street and the Bush Administration. "Give us the power and money we demand or you will be left jobless from a new economic depression."
Under the pretext of the banking crisis, the Bush Administration is changing the way this country operates. This is not simply taking trillions of dollars from the people and giving it to the richest bankers to do with as they see fit.
Congress is poised to vote to give the Executive Branch of government, and specifically the White House's political appointees in the Treasury Department, the absolute right to take our money and give it to domestic and foreign banks and corporations without any oversight of elected officials, from the courts, or from the people.
The new legislation states: "Decisions by the Secretary [of the Treasury] pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency." The Legislation allows the Treasury Department to appoint the same bankers who created the crisis to administer and dictate the use of trillions of our tax dollars.
We will not stand by and let the Bush Administration formalize its vision of a "government of, by and for the richest bankers."
The new system institutionalizes theft on a grand scale. Lehman Brothers bankers will receive $2.5 billion in bonuses after their company went bankrupt last week, but the new dictatorial authority under the White House and Treasury Department has ruled out any relief for the millions of working families who are being foreclosed.
We live in a $15 trillion annual economy. Instead of taking our tax dollars and giving it to the already rich and powerful, these funds should be used provide to decent paying jobs, affordable housing, health care and a good education for our children. There is another way!
Now is the time to hear the voice of the people. A spineless Congress authorized Bush's illegal war in Iraq and rubber-stamped the Patriot Act. Now they are being herded like sheep again to give the White House and Wall Street dictatorial control over the people's money.

I posted this on another thread but here is the letter I sent to all of my email contacts, including newspapers. I called my congresstards earlier today.

    Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since I've sent out a contact-wide email (and some of you may not even remember how you know me) but this issue is so important to all of us and all that we hold near and dear to our hearts, the United States of America. Please take the time to read this article. Each one of us has a responsibility to be informed about the magnitude of the situation we are facing-- the complete destruction of the US dollar, our rights as taxpayers and the sovereignty of the nation. We may or may not agree politically but now is not the time for that discussion. There are differing opinions as to how to deal with this financial crisis but allowing the taxpayers to be the lender of last resort for the privately owned banking cartel we call the Federal Reserve is unacceptable. Some of you may have heard the news that not only are we to be financially responsible to American banks and businesses but also foreign interests. And the worst part about it is that we will have no opportunity to be legally represented in the courts.

The bailout will be paid for by infusing more dollars into the system. There is no unlimited source of wealth. We will be indirectly taxed through inflation, which is taxation without representation. Our founding fathers put their lives, the lives of their families and all that they held near and dear to fight against this insidiousness. Shall we sit idly by and assume that we can do nothing? I say no. At the very least do as the article instructs-- call your Congressmen and women and senators. Pass the information on if you are so inclined.

    In liberty,

    me

    The Bailout
    September 21, 2008 | General

Economics is not a theory, it is a relatively simple form of movement between manufacturing, goods and services, by which the end user pays with money or barters for the product. It becomes a complicated structure when we allow the government to move from credit to a debit based society mired is a fiat monetary system.

When we allow for fictitious money we allow for the evil in the moneylenders to materialize. Now I have to say that I see more evil than most would care to admit, and it is done so because we lust for something that is by nature only fleeting; a dollar that can be manipulated up or down by the stroke of a printing press.

Last week the stock market rallied under the guise that the U.S. Treasury would bail out every thief that skulks the darkness that has become Wall Street. Every trader, analyst, support crew, developer, treasurer, and information officer out there that does not scream to the stars that we need to stop, must be arrested and convicted of crimes against humanity.

Every so-called expert who yelled we need to get this out there so we can compete with Goldman-Sachs, Lehman, Merrill and Bear Stearns, should be indicted under the Rico Statutes, and have all their property confiscated just like the Justice Department would do under similar circumstances for such heinous crimes.

Hank Paulson, Ben Bernanke, Henry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and almost every member of congress need to be removed from office. Alan Greenspan, George Bush, Bill Clinton, and that cadre of thugs need to be prosecuted. These people have been scamming and colluding to destroy the American way of life.

For months now, we here at RTR as well as other freedom loving websites, have been writing about the financial problems this country faces, the seismic events, which have seen the near destruction of the investment banking sector, and the collapse of insurance giant AIG. These dealings are on the scale of the Great Crash of 1929. It appears now that the powers that be are trying to hammer the last nail in the coffin.

As this weekend progresses, Hank Paulson is attempting to force "BAILOUT LEGISLATION" through our system. Let's call it the Economic Patriot Act because the legislation asks for unheard of, and unconstitutional powers; "The proposal would prevent courts from reviewing the Treasury's actions while raising the nation's debt ceiling to $11.315 trillion from $10.615 trillion.

The notion that the congress should relinquish their responsibility under Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution is ludicrous, and the call for the courts to be muted on this, or any legislation for that matter, is clearly an act of treason. I say treason because Paulson has; in essence, taken control of the executive, legislative and judicial branches.

These are High Crimes, which must be inspected by a grand jury. Good Lord America, have we completely lost our minds? It seems as if we have because the market irrationally rallied on the fact that the U.S. Treasury would pay for the crimes against the people of this country. Imagine what is in the thoughts of the people who take this as a good sign. We will be shackled to our desks to pay for the coming financial Armageddon. Our children will not know a day that most of their money will not have to go to pay for this lunacy.

The Bush administration seeks "dictatorial power unreviewable by the third branch of government, the courts, to try to resolve the crisis," said Frank Razzano, a former assistant chief trial attorney at the Securities and Exchange Commission now at Pepper Hamilton LLP in Washington. "We are taking a huge leap of faith.'"

Taking a huge leap of faith? We are moving head-on into a collision that will send us into the next phase of the death of America. Right now we are bleeding, but Paulson wants us to hemorrhage uncontrollably gasping without relief. Is there no one that will stand up in congress and say no. Sorry, that's not strong enough. What they should be saying is, bailiff place Mr. Paulson and Mr. Bernake in chains and lead them off to the nearest detention center.

The senators should be returning to their individual states and asking the governors to muster the militia because we have reached red-level-crisis. Wait we can't do that either because congress and the courts have made sure that we do not have a avenue of last resort.

The senators and the governors will not jump to action, so it is up to us to do something. We need to contact our representatives now and call for a halt to the madness. We would much rather see the markets collapse so that there will be something salvageable at the end. With this proposed legislation we will be made to pay for those who have been fleecing us for years by cooking the numbers and pretending that up was because we were prospering when in reality they just kept inflating the dollar.

There is no turning back on this. If congress puts this legislation through it will be the nail in the coffin. They will be telling us in so many words that this is the end of our freedom and we will walk only on the path that this government allows. Make no mistake that this is an abomination, and that it has been planned. No one can tell us that the entire financial community, the treasury, and the congress could not have foreseen this.

Time is short for us. If we turn our heads on this we will wind up to be living in what was forecast, and engineered years ago. We can see it now as we march lock step to the mines, to the factories, and to the chains as the few elite sit by and dictate the 'Metropolis.'

    'GG - Nick'
