Paul delegates to the RNC - Walk out of John McCain's acceptance speech tonight

Are we going to be meek little sheep being led to slaughter? Or we going to be strong men and women instead?

The only way we're going get back at the McCain campaign is by staging a walk-out right during the middle of John McCain's accpetance speech.

Then they'll understand they can't $#@! with us like they did last night.

I don't care what the reprocussions will be. They should have thought about that before treated us like dirt. What, we can't have our measly 35 delegate votes? Even that's too much for you? Can't even say Ron Paul's name when calling out the roll?

Fellow Ron Paul delegates I've got news for all of you, they don't respect you at all. They don't respect you because you let them bully and push you around. And they're laughing at us because they know it.

Have they even let you wave Ron Paul signs, acknowledge that he was even a candiate for the nomination? Hell he got more votes then goddamn Fred Thompson and Rudy Guliani and yet those $#@!s got to speak but Ron Paul was forced to go across the river!

How does that make you feel hmm? Mad? Mad enough to get even?

The only way you're going to do that is by walking out and letting the world know that there are still actual free Republicans out there who are willing to stand up for the truth in this little Nurmeberg rally they've created for themselves.

The media will eat it up, you'll be famous.

And you'll teach those $#@!s a lesson they'll never forget.

Otherwise you're just doormats. Let 'em walk all over you.

I don't care what Lew Moore says. $#@! him! He's a goddamn sellout. He's largely to blame for this.

I don't what the state chairman says or some podunk party flunky says. There are princples bigger goddamn Republican Party, like dignity, honor and respect. We haven't gotten any of that these past three days.

My God it wasn't like we weren't asking for much. We know we're not Hilary Clinton but at least acknowledge we got a few votes here and there.

They wouldn't even do that. Ron Paul was virtually a non-person in that arena.

The only way you can make him a person, make all that you've gone through mean something, is by refusing to sit through and cheer the neocon McCain's speech.

Walk Out I say! Walk out of there and begin the battle to run these $#@!s out of the GOP and out of politics all together.

Either we stand up for freedom or we die as slaves.

It's your choice. I know what I would do if I was there. I wouldn't put up with this $#@! neither should any of you.

We're Americans dammit! We don't deserve what happened to us tonight.

Please act like Americans and take a goddamn stand instead of meekly going into that good night.

Sounds like an idea to me. If the RNC had wanted OUR votes they would have let RP speak.

From the looks of things tonight, the GOP had good control of camera angles and microphone levels, I think they have something worked out with the broadcasters.

Even if a walkout was televised, you'e talking about 50 or so hard core Paulites, it's not going to have that much impact.

That said, I suspect alot of Paul delegates won't bother attending anyway out of disgust. Their seats will be filled with the alternate "sheep".

Not unless we tell the media we're planning a walk out. They're looking for a story. They're looking for drama They'll eat it up.

Actually, by the count in the program at the Rally yesterday we have 260 delegates and alternates. If they walk out together holding Ron Paul signs while McCain is speaking, it will make an impact, believe me.

If a few hundred people get up and walk out at the same time, many others will follow.

Ron Paul himself praised civil disobedience in his Rally speech the other night. It's a powerful tool and not one to be taken up lightly, as Dr. Paul suggested, but if there's anyone deserving of a dose of it, it's the fetid, beastly, Stalinesque GOP.

Even if it gets absolutley no media coverage, you will be glad you stood behind your principles. And also, it won't go unnoticed by the neocons in the audience.

Please, please do it!! I'll be watching, likely from a restaurant with my wife and her mother. I'll stand up and cheer when I see that revolt!

    ....Evil laugh...

Get the Blackberry numbers of some media and send it out when it will be too late to do anything. If the RNC ptb know too early, they could sqaush it. I'm sure by now they know who the RP delegates are.

    This is a great idea.

We have about 150 delegates and alternates according to the program handed out at the rally for the republic. Plus we may have some additional stealth delegates.

This is enough to be noticed.

Same here. But then, I'm not there - I'm not a delegate. If I were, I'd still be very tempted by this idea. There is nothing illegal about it, which is a big plus.

Still, it is for the actual individuals who would do this thing to decide if it is in their best interest to do so. I won't hold it against anyone who chooses not to do it.

Ron Paul should lead it. Take them up on their offer to let him enter the floor, the delgates fall in behind him, and he walks them out the door to freedom. hehe.

it'll never happen, but it would be cool. It could be like the scene in Animal House where they walk out of the frat chapter meeting.

    I love it! Great idea.

The media would jump on that.

What does it matter now? The convention's over with. John McCain's speech is the last act. Just throw off your delegate credentials (Chains) and leave. We don't need to hear from a man we're not going to vote for under any circumstances.

Amazing how the media pursued the Hilary-party unit angle ad nauseum and yet it doesn't seem to care if Paul's delegates are supporting McCain. Yes I know there's a big difference between 18 million and 1.1 million votes but in a close election that 1.1 million may very well be the difference between victory and defeat.

    WALK OUT!

Do we have any delegates posting here today?

Brilliant idea! I wouldn't be able to sit and listen to McCain anyway . . .

Just bring that 20 foot banner in segments and quickly tape them together right before the walkout.

Another thought would be to just sit there and not applaud, cheer, etc when McCain is speaking. Hopefully that might get the attention of the TV cameras and get people wondering what's going on.

I'm hoping to see some folks sleeping during his speech..

I would have probably marched out singing "Do You Hear the People Sing" from Les Miserables (see signature).

Well, better than looking at the signature, check out these videos.
