Thread: Draft of letter to congressional candidates

Default Draft of letter to congressional candidates

On September 17th, http://www.libertystrawpoll.com will host the first online straw poll for congressional candidates. This correspondence serves as an invitation to submit an application for inclusion in the event. Seven final candidates will be chosen by Liberty Straw Poll to participate; cash donations will be awarded from LSP's sponsor PAC to those candidates who receive the most straw votes.

What makes this straw poll unique is that each participating candidate will be allotted time to speak prior to the voting process - and these speeches will be broadcast over the Internet. The broadcast will also be made available 'open source' to any group or individual who chooses to re-broadcast it - so long as they broadcast it unedited and in its entirety.

In addition, immediately following the straw poll event, LSP will sponsor a 'money bomb' during which participants are encouraged to donate to the campaigns of whichever congressional candidate they choose. LSP will employ a variety of internet marketing strategies to encourage donations during this period, including 'counting widgets' that display current donation totals, and encourage donation total growth.

Liberty Straw Poll employs a simple application process by which a candidate may apply for an opening in the Straw Poll event. If the basic qualifications for participation are met the candidate will then be considered by a Liberty Straw Poll review team which operates independently from the rest of LSP and has exclusive authority to chose those seven candidates who: a) best represent the adherence to the principles of liberty, and b) show the most promise to win their race.

LSP's vetting team has identified you as a potential candidate for this event. LSP welcomes you to participate by submitting your own application. Help us make the Liberty Straw Poll an outstanding way to raise awareness for liberty candidates such as yourself!

I'm a moderator, and I'm glad to help. But I'm an individual -- my words come from me. Any idiocy within should reflect on me, not Ron Paul, and not Ron Paul Forums.
