    Al Franken (D) for Senate?

I thought it was a joke when I heard it, but he's really running for Senate in Minnesota. Isn't that where Jesse Ventura was Governor?

Yet another muddle-headed socialist with grandiose plans to create a utopian society.

Ventura was thinking about running against him as an independent.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wins, either. Minnesotans may be nice people, but they sure can be political idiots.

Yeah Jesse already beat the sitting GOP senator for Governor. That guy only won because Senator Wellstone died a couple of weeks before the election.

Jesse should go for it. But he is probably too scared of losing and messing up his image

Al Franken is pretty much a male, somewhat funny (not really though, though I like "Stuart Smalley" bit on SNL) Hillary Clinton.

    Pathetic....................
Theocrat on the Holocaust and the current 1,000,000+ dead in Iraq:

You're probably going to hate me for saying this, but that wasn't God's chastisement. It was His sovereign wrath and justice upon those people. Of course, that won't make any sense to you if you fail to understand the doctrine of God's sovereignty. It's a very deep subject, indeed.

I thought the 80's was the Al Franken Decade. His time is past.

Actually, I should say that I do think he's pretty funny. Especially the book about Fox News he did.

I wouldn't vote for him, though.

Except that he wants to raise the gas tax, and might actually vote to get our troops out of Iraq.
