Some of you really need to get a life. All you do is sit on these boards and hope for the worst. Do you hate America? You continually criticize our financial system which is saving the American economy right now. Everything is starting to get back to normal. Bush with his economic stimulus package has helped avert a disaster and recession. Banks are raising more capital than ever, the market is fine and keeps going up, home foreclosures aren't really that bad and the worst is pretty much over. What's the big deal?

Do you understand why Lady Liberty is blindfolded? Let's start there, because I don't think most that consider themselves conservative truly understand it.

For freedom to truly exist, all people must be equal in the eyes of the law - hence the blindfold. So how can all men be equal when we ask questions like "how much do you make?". "how many kids to you have?". "Do you rent or own?"

In order for Bush's stimulus package to work, we remove the blindfold. American's are treated differently based on the questions above - why do you hate America?

The funny thing is, I work with the public and wear my RP shirts often. I have been told the very same things, almost verbatim. A guy was gonna spit on me because "we" were causing trouble and was helping to drag the economy down, it was an ugly scene in a public retail atmosphere and the crowd sure got an ear full. The Concept of Lady Liberty - which the statue is based on - is what I refer to.
