Thread: Once and for all, are Freemasons good or evil?

I try to join secret societies, that are, well, .. secret.
It's all about taking action and not being lazy. So you do the work, whether it's fitness or whatever. It's about getting up, motivating yourself and just doing it.

Does anyone ever wonder how it is that people who were never Freemasons seem to know more about the organization than its members do?
Out of every one hundred men they send us, ten should not even be here. Eighty will do nothing but serve as targets for the enemy. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, upon them depends our success in battle. But one, ah the one, he is a real warrior, and he will bring the others back from battle alive.

Duty is the most sublime word in the English language. Do your duty in all things. You can not do more than your duty. You should never wish to do less than your duty.

There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. (Luke 12:2,3)
The Freemasons describe themselves as a secret society. In English, the word "secret" has two senses that are quite distinct. In modern English, we use the word almost exclusively in the sense of something that is being concealed. In olden times, however, the word was not only used in this way, and it was sometimes used in a sense more like we use the word "private" today. Today, I would not describe my driver's license as "secret" but, say, 200 years ago, that would have been a valid description of it. "Secret documents" didn't necessarily mean documents that contain incriminating or strategically sensitive information... it could just mean "private". If the Freemasons are merely a private society, then there is nothing inherently evil in that.

What we know of the dogmatic teachings of Freemasonry is troubling, to say the least. Freemasonry places a huge emphasis on knowledge (gnosis) and the doing of good deeds as a path to salvation. The New Testament directly refutes both of these dogmatic positions (these are the roots of gnosticism and pharisaism) and flatly asserts that the only path to salvation is through faith. Faith is the path to salvation because (a) everyone has sinned, so no one can claim to "deserve" to get into heaven and (b) if knowledge were the path to salvation, then heaven would only be for smart, educated, savvy, privileged people. But Isaiah says: "This is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite." (57:15) Can someone be a Freemason and not think the dogmatic aspects of it all the way through, and also have Christian faith? As an outsider, that seems very possible to me. But maybe insiders have a different perspective.

Paul says of the builders in 1 Corinthians 3:10ff:

By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.
Those Freemasons who have Jesus the Messiah as the cornerstone of their life will be able to build that which will endure the fire at the end of all things. Those who seek some other foundation will build nothing but wood, hay and chaff that will be consumed in the fire. Because Freemasonry is a secret society, outsiders cannot make any firm conclusion about its aims and ends. But at the end of the Age, every secret thing will be revealed and if Freemasonry reveals itself as hostile to the Gospel, it will be destroyed in the fire along with everything else that opposes God. "They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea." (Isaiah 11:9) Nothing and no one who is hostile or opposes God in any way, even in the deepest, most secret chambers of their heart, will ever enter the New Jerusalem.
Jer. 11:18-20. "The Kingdom of God has come upon you." -- Matthew 12:28

Ark of the Covenant De-Coded 11 by Prince Arthur, on Flickr

    BEYOND THE VEIL

SOLOMON’S TEMPLE and the ‘ARK of the COVENANT’.

A metaphor for communicating with the SPIRIT WORLD.

The Devil's Contract is an ancient belief that mortals can sell their soul to The Devil (or a powerful demon) in exchange for vast wealth and absolute power at the cost of being damned to spend the rest of eternity in Hell (or a similar dimension) : the belief in these Contracts allowed the infamous Witch-Trials that massacred many innocent people and has since entered popular culture as one of the most well-known Satanic tropes in media. It is perhaps one of the oldest and most recurring theme in many morality tales, theological discussions and fantasy of many genres - dating back at least as far as organized religion the idea of signing away one's eternal soul to Satan or similiar evil has become a lasting image of malice within the human mind.

The Devil's Contract can take many forms but has become most associated with a literal contract written by the infernal power in question (be it Satan, Beelzebub, Mephistopeles or otherwise) detailing the terms of the agreement and often demanding the mortal's soul after their death or (alternatively) after a set amount of time.

Once a living mortal agreed to this contract, a demonic pact was formed via many varied means, the most common in the public imagination was the willing signing of one's name on the contract - often in one's own blood.

Other ways of sealing a demonic pact could involve sacrifice (human or animal), consentual sex with the demonic spirit or recieving a mark from the Devil or a similar evil force signifying ownership (in witch-hunts it was common practice to exploit belief in the Devil's mark to accuse people with birthmarks or other skin defects of being witches and warlocks, despite it having nothing to do with the supernatural).

A deal with the devil (also called a Faustian bargain or Mephistophelian bargain) is a cultural motif in European folklore, best exemplified by the legend of Faust and the figure of Mephistopheles, as well as being elemental to many Christian traditions. According to traditional Christian belief about witchcraft, the pact is between a person and Satan or a lesser demon. The person offers their soul in exchange for diabolical favours. Those favours vary by the tale, but tend to include youth, knowledge, wealth, fame, or power.

The Devil’s Bridge by Johann Christoph Haizmann (1651 to 1700)
From autobiographical texts, J.C.Haizmann sold his soul to the devil in 1668 at ~17 years of age.

Haizmann claimed that he gave two pacts to the devil, one written in ink and other in his own blood.

Haizmann’s votive painting (triptych) of 1677-78.

Left: Satan appears as a fine burgher, and Haizmann signs a pact with ink.

Right: The Devil reappears a year later and forces Haizmann to sign another pact with his own blood.

Middle: The Virgin Mary makes the Devil return the second pact during an exorcism.

Johann Christoph Haizmann (1651 to 1700) was a Bavarian-born Austrian painter who is known for his autobiographically depicted demoniacal neurosis. The so-called Haizmann case has been studied in psychology and psychiatry since the early twentieth century, especially by Sigmund Freud and Gaston Vandendriessche.

DEVIL’S Bridges of Medieval Europe: ARCHhitecture, SATAN and Civil Engineering

Europe is positively riddled with unique, gravity-defying, old stone bridges. If that weren't interesting enough, many of them have strange Satanic legends behind them. In nearly all of these tales, the Master Mason overcome by the obstacles of constructing a bridge under such challenging conditions, makes a deal with the Devil, who apparently has a degree in civil engineering. These bridges have become known as Devil's Bridges.

The Devil was a Prolific Bridge Builder

There are so many bridges in Europe with links to the Devil that one would think the demon spent the majority of his time building bridges.

    The Devil Demands Payment

All of the legends that claim the Devil helped to build bridges have a common thread in that the Devil requires a payment in souls.

In some of the stories, he demands the soul of the original bridge builder.

France alone has 49 Devil’s Bridges (PONT DU DIABLE)…

    ARCH Enemies…

Napoléon Bonaparte (1769 to 1821) and the Duke of Wellington (1769 to 1852).

Both were Knights of the Order of the Golden Fleece.

In 1805, Napoléon Bonaparte was inducted into the Order of the Golden Fleece (founded 1430).
In 1812, Arthur Wellesley was inducted into the same Order.

The Battle of Waterloo, was fought on Sunday, 18 June 1815, near Waterloo in present-day Belgium, then part of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands. A French army under the command of Napoleon Bonaparte was defeated by two of the armies of the Seventh Coalition: a British-led Allied army under the command of the Duke of Wellington, and a Prussian army under the command of Field Marshal Blücher.

The battle marked the end of the Napoleonic Wars.

Napoléon and Wellington both ‘UNDERSTOOD’ the ‘CONTRACT of the ARCH

Modern wars of the 21st Century are no different to this FACADE...

(FACADE - a deceptive outward appearance)

The ARC de Triomphe du Carrousel (firmly anchored to the tradition of the ancient triumphal arches) was built by Percier and Fontaine in circa 1806 to 1808 to celebrate the Napoleonic victories of 1805, and it was originally intended as a monumental entrance to the Tuileries palace. When that palace was destroyed by fire in 1871, it was generally agreed that the arch stood well on its own; nor was the palace greatly missed in that an exceptional view of the Champs-Elysées had been opened up.

The proportions of the arch were directly drawn from those of the Arch of Septimius Severus in Rome; furthermore Percier and Fontaine deliberately copied ancient decorative motifs of Corinthian columns in red and white marble, bas-reliefs depicting the major events of the campaign and a chariot pulled by four horses at the top. Each of the eight columns has (above it) a statue of a soldier of the Grand Army, namely: a dragoon, an infantry grenadier, a cavalry chasseur, a grenadier, a gunner, a rifleman and a sapper. The bas-reliefs illustrate the following events: (facing the Louvre) “The Surrender at Ulm” by Cartellier and “The battle of Austerlitz” by Esparcieux; (facing the rue de Rivoli) “Napoleon entering Munich” and “Napoleon bringing back the King of Bavaria” by Clodion; (facing the Tuileries Gardens) “Napoleon entering Vienna” by Deseine and “The Meeting of the two Emperors” by Ramey; (facing the Seine) “The Peace of Presbourg” by Lesueur.

Originally, “The Horses of Saint Mark's”, the famous bronzes removed from the Basilica in Venice, crowned the building, but these originals were sent back to Venice in 1815 and replaced by copies, and the statue group was completed by an allegory of the Restoration surrounded by two Victories by Bosio.

    The Wellington Statue

The Wellington ARCH and Marble Arch (originally sited in front of Buckingham Palace) were planned in 1825 by George IV to commemorate Britain's victories in the Napoleonic Wars. The Wellington ARCH has a single opening, and uses the Corinthian order.

All I can say about Freemasons is that they certainly aren't a powerful cabal capable of protecting our constitutional republic from communists.

The ARK of the COVENANT De-Coded

ARCHon is a Greek word that means "RULER".

In Athens a system of three concurrent ARCHons evolved - the three office holders being known as the ‘Eponymous ARCHon’, the ‘PolemARCH’, and the ‘ARCHon Basileus’.

Ref Mitchell, John Malcolm (1911). "Archon" . In Chisholm, Hugh (ed.). Encyclopædia Britannica. 2 (11th ed.). Cambridge University Press. pp. 444–445.

Throughout history, this ARCHon TRIumvirate have celebrated their governance, conquests and victories with ARCHes of TRIumph…

    1. ARCHon Eponymous - Chief Magistrate
    2. PolemARCH - Head of the Armed Forces.
    3. ARCHon Basileus - King or Sovereign Ruler

(Sovereign literally means to reign from above)

The PolemARCH title is derived from the words POLEMOS (war) and ARCHon (ruler, leader) and translates as "WARLEADER" or "WARLORD".

The name indicates that the PolemARCH's original function was to command the military.

    This is why armies mARCH.

BORIS JOHNSON read LITERAE HUMANOIRES at Balliol College, Oxford - a four-year course in the study of the CLASSICS, ANCIENT LITERATURE and CLASSICAL PHILOSOPHY.

Don’t be fooled - BORIS understands the ‘CONTRACT of the ARCH’.

Today I was sitting on the bridge in front of the Amsterdams Lyceum...
On the other side of the bridge is the Olympiaplein with in front of it the controversial Monument Indië-Nederland (to celebrate hundreds of years of plundering the Dutch West Indies).
It was originally made in 1935 for the Governor-General of Nederlands-Indië and war criminal Johannes Benedictus van Heutsz (1851-1924), who as commander of the KNIL army had mass murdered "savage" Indonesians in Atjeh.
At this time it was still plundered as a Dutch colony. If I understand correctly some countries are actually ashamed of their colonial past, but not over here!

This is how it looked a long time ago, before WW II probably. Picture take from the roof of the Amsterdams Lyceum?
There is a statue of a woman flanked by 2 lions, with behind her the twin pillars, with the arched sun on top, with 13 rays.
Behind, below it are 6 arches on both sides of the twin pillars, making a total of 13 arches.

Some have noted that the woman has nothing to do with Van Heutsz, and is surely no Indonesian woman.
It looks more like an ancient Greek (or Roman) statue, with the woman holding a legal scroll as a symbol for the Dutch monarch (Queen Wilhelmina at the time) holding the Dutch West Indies.

In 2000, the monument was rearranged (until then it was still the Van Heutsz monument) on the proposal of Rob Aspeslagh of Clingendael (the Dutch RIIA/CFR).
They changed the arch on top, into a double, yellow, blue arch, with the sun again with 13 rays.

The other change, besides the double arch, are 3 twin pillars, with a fourth single pillar (that you can see on the front, left of the following photo), making a total of 7 (I don't know the relevance)...

If it was 13 Arches and 4 Pillars, an astrological interpretation would be the Sun (Son) of God and the 12 Signs of the Zodiac (Disciples).

The 4 Pillars would be the 4 Seasons of the Year (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John).

That sounds like a reasonable theory to me. Why wouldn't 12 refer to the disciples of Jesus Christ or some other story on which the 12 months are based?
There is the - sun - double arch on top in the sky, with the 12 - 6 on both sides of the central statue/arch - low arches.

The twin pillars, arch, ark of the covenant, 12 lions all come back in the section about King Solomon's Temple from Kings 1 of the Tanach (a.k.a. Old Testament)...

I don't know how to count pillars. With a little too much (conspiracy) fantasy, a lot could be seen as a pillar. The 2 high "pillars" in the centre, with the arched sun really stand out...
The yellow brick pillars that were added in 2000 are 3 on the front side of the monument, the side of the Amsterdams Lyceum, one double and one single (that you can see in the last photo), with 2 double pillars on the back side of the monument (so another 4), the side of the Olympiaplein.

Also interesting is that after the Amsterdams Lyceum was constructed and before this monument the area around the Olympiaplein was constructed for the Summer Olympics in Amsterdam in 1928.

At least 22 Triumphal Royal Arches were built for the visit of HRH Prince George, Duke of Cornwall & York and his wife, HRH Princess Mary, Duchess of Cornwall & York (later King George V and Queen Mary) in June 1901.

Six years later (1907), at the REQUEST of the New Zealand Parliament, King Edward VII would proclaim New Zealand a Dominion within the British Empire.

Yesterday I passed the Wilhelmina Gasthuis, the hospital where I was born in 1974 (it has since been renovated into apartments). I'm still a little shocked, even though I'm not quite sure what these arches, twin pillars, lions and roses mean.
See the strange arch over the entrance (poort), the first part of the Wilhelmina Gasthuis finished in 1893...

With the lion heads on the twin pillars, with below it roses. And another head on top of the middle of the arch, representing the monarch on top.
There are 4 pillars on each side inside the entrance, with another twin pillar on the other (back) side, making 6 twin pillars on both sides.

On the top of the building, above "WILHELMINA GASTHUIS" in between 5 satan heads, is the coat of arms of Amsterdam, the 3 crosses, with the crown on top.
I also count lots of sixes, in the windows, or the small pillars directly above the arch below the windows...

Australia – Under CONTRACT with the (mon)ARCH – British Royal Visit - 1901

    What were Federation ARCHes?

Australia’s passage into the British ‘Commonwealth’ prompted an outbreak of ARCH building…?!

Australia Under CONTRACT with the ARCH - 1901 by Prince Arthur, on Flickr

On 1 January 1901, the Commonwealth of Australia was inaugurated in Sydney and various elaborately constructed ARCHes graced the streets. In Melbourne, an ARCH declaring “Melbourne rejoices in the Commonwealth” was erected. However, with many of Victoria’s politicians and public figures in Sydney for the inauguration, Melbourne’s celebrations were largely put on hold until May that year, when the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York would visit to open the first Commonwealth Parliament.

In May, a number of temporary TRIumphal ARCHes were built in Melbourne, St Kilda and Ballarat; some small country towns also built their own more modest ARCHes.

The early Renaissance or Roman-Doric design bore similarities to other famous ARCHes: the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel (1808) in Paris and the Marble ARCH (1828) in London. They in turn were inspired by Roman structures like the ARCH of Septimius Severus (203 AD) in Libya, and the ARCH of Constantine (316 AD) in Rome.

The TRIumphal ARCHes were often adorned with royal symbols, images, colours and patriotic mottoes.

(Commonwealth - an international association consisting of the UK together with states that were previously part of the British Empire, and dependencies).

The entry to the Corvershof, Nieuwe Herengracht 18, Amsterdam has another interesting arch for decoration.

    With the twin pillars.
With the coat of arms of the Corvers (blue) and the Trips (red) above the door, below the crown.

It was founded through the 160,000 guilder estate of Joan Corver (1688-1719), which funded the Corvershof. Destined to house poor, elderly Christian couples. He had been married to Johanna Trip, but after she died he married her cousin (or niece?) Sara Maria Trip (1693-1721).
In 1723, the Corvershof was opened.

The most interesting is the phoenix theme in the top arch.
The eagle (phoenix) holds the design of the Corvershof, from which the Corvershof arises.

From my research, depictions of the Phoenix in recent times are more often associated with the rise of the Catholic Church after the Reformation.

According to Herodotus (Greek Historian), the Phoenix lives for ~500 years.

The Protestant Reformation was in 1517 nominally starting on the 31st October.

The stand alone arches that @Prince Arthur mostly posts about, are what in Dutch we call "poort", which I would translate to English not with "arch", but with "gate".

We have 3 of these arches (poorten) left that were part of the city defence (really?). I think they indicate a symbolic conquering of the world from/by Amsterdam. I only knew of 2 "poorten" like these left in Amsterdam.
The third one is from 1488 AD (or even earlier). We hardly have any buildings from before the 17th century left. It has been transformed unrecognisably, and precedes the foundation of freemasonry, now it's called the Waag, but originally it was the Sint Antoniespoort.

The Willemspoort that most people call the Haarlemmerpoort, was opened on 27 November 1840 by King Willem II, one day before his coronation.
With the twin pillars under the arch..

It faces west, which could indicate conquering Haarlem to the west.
I believe that facing west, really means expansion of the Dutch Empire further west over the seas (illustrated by the canal, water directly behind it), Britain and all the way to America. New York is of course really New Amsterdam, with Harlem (west of Amsterdam) and Wall Street, reminding of the origins of modern day banking, Amsterdam.
The Rijksmuseum was really designed as an arch towards the west, indicating that the Dutch state (rijk) owns Britain and America (using music, with the Concertgebouw west of it, as a weapon?)...

My interpretation of expansion over the seas west, seems to be confirmed by the Amsterdams Lyceum facing south, with on its southside the monument, behind the water/canal, illustrating the colonial conquest of Indonesia (south-east from Amsterdam) over the seas.

The other Amsterdam poort was finished in 1770 - facing south - the Muiderpoort.
See the top triangle, with the twin pillars, and lions flanking the coat of arms of the city of Amsterdam

Similar to the construction of the Amsterdams Lyceum with over the bridge, on the other side of the water, the colonial monument to the south the Koninklijk Instituut voor de Tropen (royal institute for the tropics) that was finished in 1926 as the Koloniaal museum.

See the side entrance, directly facing the Muiderpoort to the south of Amsterdam. The tropics (Indonesia) is of course south (from the centre of the world, Amsterdam)...
See the arch on top of the door, with the twin towers. The building itself reminds me of the Rijksmuseum.

    Very interesting research, FS.

The Dutchmen are definitely in the mix for World domination I think.

On a similar theme of World domination, temporary triumphal arches were erected in London, England for the procession of James I in 1604.

    The arches were as follows:

    1. the ARCH of Londinium
    2. the ARCH of the Dutchmen
    3. the ARCH of the Italians
    4. the ARCH of the New Arabia
    5. the ARCH of the New World
    6. the ARCH of the Garden of Plenty
    7. the ARCH of the Temple of Janus
    8. there was an eighth ARCH on the Strand in the City of Westminster but its subject matter eludes me for the time being

The original triumphal arches were built to signify a conquering of a province or region so does this list indicate some of the regions of the world under the control of James I (Knight of the Garter #375 (apptd 1590) - Head of the Order when crowned King of England - July 1603)?

ARCHONS and the ARK of the COVENANT (CONTRACT of the ARCH)

Our controllers are not averse to deception, deceit and misdirection.

    From the Merriam Webster Dictionary:

    Definition of 'walk into'

1 : to become involved in or fooled by (something) because one is not aware of what is really happening He walked right into our trap. "I can't believe you fell for that old joke!" "Yeah, I guess I walked right into that one."

Is this what our controllers are doing with the ARCHways?

Following the staged riots of Jan 6th 2021, metal detectors were subsequently installed in the US Capitol Building to disarm elected US House Representatives and Officials, directly contravening the 2nd Amendment of the United States Bill of Rights which clearly states:

‘the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed’.

Understanding the symbolism behind the installation of ‘Security ARCHes’ (metal detectors) in the US Capitol Building is key to de-coding what game is currently in play with US governance and global affairs….
