Thread: My reloading video

    My reloading video

I made a video that demonstrates the operation of my RCBS Pro 2000.

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=gCOjenjFKmI

I have been wanting a simple camera for my range bag so I bought an Aiptek A-HD video camera. It's slicker than snot for $150. It films 720P HD in H.264 format and stores 1 hour of video on a 2 GB SD card.

I then bring it into iMovie on my Mac where I can edit it down, adding titles and transition. I can then publish to YouTube directly from iMovie or make a DVD. Anyway, too cool, at least I think so. I did the whole thing (filming, editing, and uploading in about 2 hours while my daughter was napping).

It's rendering now in 720P HD (that takes a while) then I may upload that to my web-server and post a link given it is not too big. The clarity in some scenes is awesome given I get the focus set correctly.

Anyway, I'd like to make another video demonstrating how to clear Class 1 - 3 AR-15 malfunctions.

    Out farking standing!

    That's what I'm talkin about.
If this should be, our final stand,
we will stand together with pride
We will honour the past, and fight to the last,
it will be a good way to die
It matters not, if the cause is lost,
and we can not stop the tide
We will fight to the end, and then fight again,
it will be a good way to die

Absolutely agree. Enjoyed watching and actually learning.
I'm sent the link over a couple of coworkers as well who I'm
    sure would equally enjoy it!

    5 stars!

    How much?
"Anarchists oppose the State because it has its very being in such aggression, namely, the expropriation of private property through taxation, the coercive exclusion of other providers of defense service from its territory, and all of the other depredations and coercions that are built upon these twin foci of invasions of individual rights." -Murray Rothbard

I bought the deluxe kit which is now about $850:

If you are just doing pistol you won't need the case trimmer and some other parts, but it's worth it if you want to load rifle. Most people prefer Dillon for pistol and RCBS for rifle, but I was a total newbie and just took the plunge. After seeing the Dillon in action I still think I prefer mine since I can keep my right hand on the lever. There is an auto-indexer available now which I may add.

You will of course also need dies (about $35 a set) and a tumbler. I like the Lyman with the auto-flo. Also a sturdy bench to bolt it to.

I have been loading Rainier 230 gr fully plated RN with 4.8 gr Winchester 231 with separate seat and crimp dies. It works well in my 1911. Cost of bullet, primer, and powder is 17 cents per round. Note that price is for powder in 8 LB jugs, 10K primers, and 2000 bullets. You can cheaper and shoot plain lead but I prefer the plated since it's cleaner.

Weird --- link isn't working for me...anyone else?

Huh. It's not working for me now either. Midway does not have the fastest web server, but you can't beat next day delivery to the KC area for UPS ground.
