My, my. I guess I wasn't specific enough for you again. I apologize. It seems like my sarcasm went beyond you one more time. I did not mean the actual 'sky' but rather the general condition of one's psyche. You see, you seem to live a life which I find sad and gloomy, hopeless and full of despair. You know, perhaps your god, that is, your rational mind, isn't that powerful after all!

I think it happens because people have a core belief that they are born sinful subconciously this leads to self destructive behavior it is this one belief that causes untold pain

Perhaps I may be allowed to say, don't equate Catholicism with Christianity.
Now it is my hope I don't get banned for being 'politically incorrect'.

Well, would you make the case that we are not sinful, that is, that our world is perfect and humans make the right decisions every time? And what of this pain? The pain to realize this weakness and fallen condition? How about the pain we inflict on others for self-appeasement, self-glory, greed, and every other mechanism to feed our ego?

Once again, your Christardness never ceases to amaze me. AGAIN! I knew that you were trying to be sarcastic, but I was responding with an insult. This isn't any fun when I have to spell it out for you. And "my god." Bitch, there is no god. Why do you feel it necessary that a racist, homophobic is watching over you?

Some how I knew this thread was divisive. If you don't believe in either religion, then why even start a thread like this one?

*goes to a more productive thread*

My only 2c is that I'd be willing to wager that this thread will not resolve the differences between Christians and Muslims, and even further, will just widen the divide between the religious and non-religious here.

Rational Thinker: "Christard?" Have you been taking lessons from the anti-Paul people out there that call us Paultards? If you're a "rational thinker" take a class in debate or logic and try to understand the error in ad hominem attacks.

If you were a logical person, you'd see that they initiated the attacks on me... $#@!tard. And for the record, I've been saying Christard way before Ron Paul was running for president so don't you dare say that I derived the name from Ron Paul attackers.

If that is why you are in this tizzy, I apologize. I should not have been sarcastic and antagonistic towards your original post. I was trying to make a point, which obviously failed. It was a poor choice on my part, and I am sorry.

Now please stop your own poor behavior. It is purely divisive and inflammatory.

Did you seriously just call me a $#@!tard? What the hell is wrong with you? Pretty please, read the link on ad hominem attacks. It will serve you well.

I can't believe you take offense that I'd question the origin of the term "Christard." Wow. Yet, you think it's okay to call me a $#@!tard, what are we? 12 years old here?

+ Insulting or personally attacking other users is not allowed by any member. There is very little tolerance for violations, particular for new members. Reason: Insults lead to relational which often result in disruption, which dilute the resources of members and the intent of the forum.

Everyone knock it off because if people refuse to act like adults on here, then I'll be giving people time-outs.

    Stupid but necessary.

    Please review the forum guidelines.

Apparently so. Something squirrely in his coffee perhaps. I'm not really familiar with him, so I don't know if this is his normal behavior, but I'd guess not or else he would have been banned by now.

It's just ironic that I'm trying to give him a tool that logical people use (the irrational use of ad hominem to argue) and he calls me a name. It's actually pretty funny, so I don't take it personally.

"What happened(EDIT: HAPPENS) in the Roman Catholic Church is a travesty and due to the sinful condition of man."
and seeing as the Roman Catholic Church does nothing about it must mean the Catholic Church is the epitome of sin... fancy that, the oldest, richest and largest sect of christianity doing everything that they preach not to... priceless

    "don't equate Catholicism with Christianity."

now seeing as a few of the leading evangelist preachers take drugs and pay male escorts to do them up the ass you can see why it wouldnt require much of a leap to equate the two... factor in allegations of fraud and corruption and BOOM!, in the grand scheme of life CHRISTIANITY>CATHLOCISM, CATHLOCISM>CHRISTIANITY... just another wolf in sheeps clothing

ps. at least they are better than Scientology.. i often wonder what would have happened if the story of scientology was created in place of the story of jesus 2000yrs ago... 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 Tbs. granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    Zest of 1/2 lemon
3 egg yolks plus 5 egg whites
    1 1/3 cups buttermilk
    3/4 cup ricotta cheese
    5 Tbs. unsalted butter, melted
    1 pint blueberries
    Confectioners’ sugar for dusting

In a batter pitcher or bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, granulated sugar, salt and lemon zest. Set aside.

In another bowl, lightly whisk the egg yolks. Whisk in the buttermilk and ricotta. Whisk the yolk mixture into the flour mixture until well combined; the mixture will be lumpy. Set aside.

In another bowl, whisk the egg whites until stiff but not dry peaks form. Using a rubber spatula, gently stir the whites into the batter in two additions.

Put 1/2 tsp. butter in each well of a filled-pancake pan. Place over medium heat and heat until the butter begins to bubble. Pour 1 Tbs. batter into each well, place 4 blueberries in the center of the batter and top with 1 Tbs. batter. Cook until the bottoms are golden brown and crispy, 3 to 5 minutes. Using 2 wooden skewers, turn the pancakes over and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 3 minutes more. Transfer to a plate. Repeat with the remaining batter and blueberries.

It's too bad that of all posts, I got a warning on the Jeebus comment. Must say something about the mod.
