Saturday 5 April 2008: Territorial Caucuses will meet on St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John as a Convention to choose 6 delegates to the Republican National Convention.

The delegates from the Virgin Islands are chosen in such a way so that they best reflect the presidential preference of the Caucus/Convention participants.
Delegates are directly elected. The top 6 vote getters are elected as delegates.
(note, there are no "virtual delegates" like Steve Parent claims)

In addition, 3 party leaders, the National Committeeman, the National Committeewoman, and the chairman of the Virgin Islands's Republican Party, will attend the convention as unpledged delegates by virtue of their position.

RULES, POLICES, AND PRINCIPLES OF REPUBLICAN PARTY OF THE UNITED STATES VIRGIN ISLANDS, Amended June 1, 2002, Article XIII Sec.1. states "The method of selecting delegates to the Republican National Convention shall be determined by the Territorial Committee."
