Paul well ahead of Peden, according to poll

    http://galvestondailynews.com/story....04696a2b4d2a3e

Paul, a Republican from Lake Jackson, leads Friendswood City Councilman Chris Peden in the District 14 race for Congress by a margin of 63 percent to 30 percent, according to a poll released Thursday by Public Policy Polling of Raleigh, N.C.

The same poll of likely voters in the 14th District’s Republican primary found that only 18 percent supported Paul for president. That compares with 49 percent for John McCain and 27 percent for Mike Huckabee.

    Well, that's some good news.

At least Peden's little cheap shot won't work.

I just wish so many voters/endorsers would act purely on principle, rather than just strategy. "He won't win, so I'll pretend I see much more good in someone else who can."

That may "work" - one time - but long-term it sure screws up the country. They could have been steadily building up candidates like Paul every four years, and made a big difference in the long run.

I'll always support him, no matter what the odds.

It would be good to see Ron win at least ONE primary election this year.

    C'mon Texas!

Unbelievable. 63% support Paul for congress over a neocon, but in the presidential race they vote for the neocons. Even in Paul's home district they can't get past the "he can't win" albatross. These people are sheep, plain and simple.

What's funny is the Peden campaign is trying to say that people are voting for Paul for president but Peden for Congress, lmao. They are also claiming if Peden loses it's because Republicans are voting in the Dem primary to vote for Clinton because they are scared of Obama in the general election.

    recap:
Ron Paul POTUS supporters support peden for Congress
Peden supporters are voting for Hillary.

BTW I posted this poll in this forum several days ago.

Isn't it great that after today the name Chris Peden will fade into obscurity? A year from now we won't even recognize his name.

I think Peden has challenged Ron before. If he loses, Peden plans to try again in 2010.

Well, 18% support in the presidential election is pretty darn good I say.
