Thread: Transform the GOP or bust

Thumbs up Transform the GOP or bust

I've noticed a few people on the forums are encouraging people to leave the GOP and go to the Libertarian or Constitution parties. Some people have even mentioned starting a new party and calling them the "Real Conservative" party. Others will give the GOP a try and then leave once the GOP doesn't go their way.

My post is plain and simple:

    1. Elections are rigged so that only the Democrats or Republicans can win. If you want to leave the Republicans, then you better start thinking about joining the Democrats.

    2. You CAN transform the GOP but it WILL TAKE TIME. Just like it took 100 years for the majority to be comfortable with theft and socialism, it will take time to value principle over heard mentality.

    3. We ARE changing the GOP already. Look at that Alaska post. Look at the others where people have joined LOCAL chapters and got involved LOCALLY. Capitalize on others apathy. Get involved - transform the GOP.

Bottom line: Leaving the GOP will not get us anywhere. We must use the "dog-catcher" strategy to regain our liberty. Read this article (http://www.lewrockwell.com/north/north21.html). If anything, we should be trying to get those in the libertarian and constitution parties to REJOIN the GOP so that it can be transformed back to a stance of liberty and freedom. This is the only winning strategy (unless, of course, you have tons of money and can buy all the media companies).

We must transform from the bottom-up. This is how we will regain our freedom.
