Thread: How about a flowchart?

    How about a flowchart?

I was thinking that a good flowchart might be a very effective conversion tool to bring supporters over to RP. The chart starts with an issue of significance for this election, ie. "Economy". Then directly beneath are the available paths flowing to each of the 5 candidates currently in contention. Then leading out from each of the candidates are multiple positions or actions these candidates hold and/or have taken that are representative of their views. Then out from each of those actions show each most likely result or impact those policies will have or have had as documented by simialar policies/positions that have existed or been implemented in the past. Also in the flowchart it should show how each of the candidates other than Paul have taken action that is contrary to what they have said they believe. I'm not a flowchart expert, but I think one could be made to be very effective and make use of some appealing graphic design. I think this could be most effective with supporters of Obama and Hillary but should be effective on most any supporter that is not properly informed. Obama, clearly has very socialist policies which are rooted in a system that has been highly documented as unviable. Any of you have experience in flowchart design, or have comments on the concept as an effective tool? Thanks.

PS - We should also have a section starting with "Central Banking and Fiat Currency" and have Andrew Jackson and/or Thomas Jefferson as candidates ( we could actually use founding father like past Presidents and notable founders as flowchart options beneath all the starting points of the flowchart) available as options to follow and we could show how RP has many identical positions with a record to back it up.

I think there are economic flowcharts of some sort out there from various sites -

would be nice to have one specifically designed for the campaign.

It's been a while since I've had to create one - any takers?

The chart could also run, starting from each issue with a question like on economy for example, question one could be "Do you feel you have a working understanding of how our economy works and how market bubbles are created? Yes or No, are the available options, each leading to their own respective questions. At some point the question is "Do you think it is important for a President to have a respectable working knowledge of markets and economy? The chart flows on until ultimately you arrive at a candidate and his/her positions on the economy.

Thanks for editing that for me, I'm not very experienced at breaking up my posts.

Glad to do - if nothing else, all you have to do is figure out where to hit enter a time or two to start a new line

You should really have a policy wonk do this - someone that hangs out on ronpaullibrary.com

After that, find a graphic artist to make it visually appealing. Someone that is a fan of Edward Tufte would be ideal!

there are a couple of graphics groups where an inquiry could be made:

I think that this idea has a lot of potential. I had similar thoughts a while back regarding a flow-chart, but I was thinking Obama - Paul and the issue of War.
