I have tried to be as skeptical as possible of world government. I didn't deny it nor believe it, but the book I checked out today has me convinced. You can check out this book from libraries or buy it. (I don't suggest buying it.)
WORLD CHANGING - A USER'S GUIDE FOR THE 21ST CENTURY
Forward by Al Gore
I have just cracked open this book. I went to the library originally looking for a book on Josef Goebbels and media propaganda but I couldn't find much. However, I stumbled upon this book. I wasn't even aware of existence. No wonder "tin-foil hatters" are so paranoid! This book is like the world government's bible on how to control people through global warming!
This book isn't some back-of-the-library 5000 page legal document, this book is written for you and me, the average American. It's written in an 8th grade level. It's complete with pictures of violence and propaganda.
I am going to provide quotes from this book. If you request, I will send you pictures from the book (cause typing this hurt my hand).
"Security in the Twenty-First Century", Page 467
"If we plunge below the level of the state, we see a plethora of groups, formed around the traditional moral bonds of family, clan, tribe, ethnicity, and religion (of, in the case of gangs, around manufactured loyalty). These groups have always provided a means of mutual survival. However, as technology, transportation and trade began to connect substate groups to the global community, those groups gained skills and influence that, in combination with mindsets that are far from progressive, have made them very dangerous.
It should come to no surprise that some of these groups don't share the developed world's vision of the future. They see their religion corrupted, their economy in decline, and their environment degraded by a global system of impersonal markets, nation-states, and media. They are not unjustified in believing the goals of our world put their world at risk. Their very cultural survival is in question.
The result is war."

"For the United States to survive the new realities of war, it must give up being a superpower. The role is too expensive to maintain, particularly considering the massive national debt. Given that we live in a world dominated by fluid markets, flirtation with bankruptcy isn't a sound long-term strategy. The United States is critical. If it can overcome these barriers (retool it's defense system, and shrink the national deficit), it could emerge intact or even stronger than today, and help support the global system. If not, international violence may continue to spin out of control, putting our global system, as we understand it, at risk. For the sake of all our futures, the world's sole remaining superpower needs to chart a new course."
'The Bright Green City', Page 228
"If you want to live green, live in a city."
My response: It's very easy to see that this sentence alone brings up Alex Jones' paranoia in Endgame. Many chapters in the book suggest moving to cities in an effort to clean up the environment. The cities, in themselves, will become "super cities." I completely understand why cities can be made "green" (I hate that term), and I understand how they can be "green", but one of the paragraphs calls for dissolving of property rights.
'The Limits of Planning', Page 236-237
"In the United States, government is especially weak. Taxes are low, so the government has limited ability to undertake infrastructure projects (say, transit lines) that help shape urbanization. The United States has also created a set of legal "property rights" that limits the ability of communities (at all levels) to determine how land will be used.
Simply writing good plans to guide regional growth or to make our society more sustainable has little impact. We must either reform government to give planners more power, or bypass weakened, ineffectual local and regional governments and change urban form ourselves, directly."
The book makes numerous references to the UN, and uses terms such as "global community" or "North American community." There is no doubt in my mind this book is, well, evil. It's anti-American in every way. It praises the UN and even praises China on sustainability. It calls for protests and government reform.
