    Wake up! Most of us ought to run for office!

    Hello, everyone.

    I am 100% for Ron Paul. And I still believe that he can win in November.
    Ron Paul to me is an inspiration, he is like a Rock Star, a fresh air....
    But whatever the future holds....
    We cannot allow to create a vacuum inside of us with the fire of emotions in case he won't win....

    Guys!

    There are many clever and knowledgeable people in this Forum who should start thinking about running for office.
    STOP FOR A MINUTE AND ASK YOURSELF A QUESTION - CAN I RUN FOR A:

    1. Mayor of my town;
    2. Governor of my state;
    3. Congressman;
    4. Senator;
    5. US President.

    WE NEED THOUSANDS OF RONPAULS!

    We ought to do it!

    Thoughts?

    running for congress in 4 years when i'm eligible. in the meantime, i just became a PC.

    I absolutley agree, but take a look at the threads running.

    We ought to start planning, organizing and coordinating for the takeover of congress in 2010.

    We're trying to figure out who we can select to run for president in 4 years. That is 2012. We can take over congress in 2 years and stop this circus in washington.

    And those of us whom aren't running, need to support our fellow men and women with the same intensity and vigor of our support for Ron Paul's presidency.

    It is happening!

    http://www.paulcongress.com/Candidates.html

    These are the faces of our fellow Ron Paul supporters, so moved by his message they are now running for public office!

    Ideally you can either:

    1) Add your face to this list and start running for office.

    OR

    2) Begin supporting these great patriots with fund raising, and support the same way we have supported Ron Paul!

    yep, we need constitutional republicans vs. constitutional democrats for the win-win.

    I won't be running this time around but I pledge to run in 2 years. I need to build some political rep.

    I have a bachelor's in accounting and curently working on my CPA. Married with 3 boys.

    Worked in accounting for Webb County, TX for the past 5 yrs.

    What suggestions can you give me?

    I haven't been involved with the GOP or any political party at all.

    What do I need to be accepted as a candidate in the GOP?

    My district (28th of TX) is heavily democratic and the congresman Cuellar is running unchallenged. I can take him on. He's a big time liberal. Big entitlement politician.

    I cannot give any suggestions, RonPauledbyYoutube. My nickname is just a nickname. I am not a governor of Alaska, but I plan to be....
    I think there should be some people here who can give us real advise on what steps should be taken to file the papers and how to run a compaign....

    Ask Ron Paul....

    No donations needed yet. Thanks anyway. There are some candidates who are needing donations from us. Brent Sanders being one of them. There is a money bomb going of tomorrow at http://www.libertywarchest.com/

    Unfortunately right now, I'm still in college and I'm not really settled into any one location. As soon as I graduate or settle down in a specific area, I plan to get SUPER involved in that area's GOP, run for local office, and influence things from the ground up...

    The most important question is, who will support my Congressional campaign in 10 years? Hopefully your dollar will be worth enough that you can donate!

    This is such a BAD BAD idea, (everyone on here running for gov. positions). 95% of the people on this board probably are not qualified to run for office and would just look ridiculous or ignorant if they tried to run and would give true republicanism and constitutional ism a bad name. This is not the first thread I have seen on this and as I have said before, being a huge fan of the bronco's does not mean you should try out...similar principal applies here. Sure get involved but running for office is not for everyone so saying everyone on here should do it is just ridiculous.

    I completely agree. Please help me in this effort to create a common ground from which to launch these new political strategies, races, campaigns. Now it the time to unite before the onslaught coming ahead.

    Im sure many supporters are qualified to run. Just Imagine If we have congressmans, mayors in every state that belong to Ron Paul group then we can achieve our goal.

    Whoa whoa, easy on the pessimism my friend.

    To me, being qualified for a local office is EASY. Someone who has lived locally for a good amount of time, knows a lot of the people he will represent, and knows their needs (and obviously is well educated). You don't have to have any special qualifications to get involved in politics at a local level - even if we all just become active in our local GOP and run for county/city council seats, it's a start.

    Once you're in at a local level, and have served for 4 years or so, IMO you have a great case for a Representative position in Congress. Point out your voting record in local politics, political activism, desire to help people and understanding of their needs....you might not win, but you can still hold onto a local spot.

    Look, I understand that we all shouldn't run in 2 years, or 4 years, or even 10 years. But this is a movement, and it won't happen overnight. I'm willing to invest my time in public service to ensure that I can eventually influence things from the ground up.

    Many Ron Paul supporters should change their thinking. They should start asking themselves the questions like:
    Can I run for office?
    Where can I get info about How To Run For Office?
    And... Can Ron Paul people help me with advise?

    I'm only 17 (18 in April) so I've got to start out small. I'm going to shoot for Precinct Committeeman.

    Young father of 3. If I weren't, I'd be running for State Rep. But since I can't abandon my family for 3 months out of the year, I'm running for Precinct Committeemen & working with about 20 others to infiltrate & take over my county GOP.

    I'll have to wait until I'm out of the Navy (five more years), but I'll try and run for something...I don't know exactly what office I could hold, but I'm sure there's something.

    What is a good major to take in college to help you in your political career? I am really thinking about running for congress in the future after college.

    To be honest, if you're really serious about going big early (running for Congress at a very young age), law or political justice would be good. But to be honest, you should do whatever you enjoy and worry about your future as a politician later. I'm a statistics major planning to go to grad school for economics, but I still plan on working my way up the ladder (being active in local party politics and getting elected to a local office). It just might take me a little bit longer this way than others.
