Sweet. Thanks. My county is March 1. Thank heavens this is a leap year. My birthday is Feb 28.
We'll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we'll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.

    Your county what?

If it's your county convention, then you need to make sure you go to your voter precinct meetings FIRST. That's how/where you become a precinct delegate.

    Help!

I moved back home from another town and missed the deadline to become a delegate by several days, which really sucks. I am now a registered republican though, in craven county. Does anyone know if I can still vote in the party primaries? Anything else I can do?

You can join NC 3rd Congressional District RP meetup and check out the Craven County GOP calendar. There is also a Ron Paul meetup in New Bern, but I don't have their info off hand. Several are members of the 3rd district group as well.

Did you miss your voter precinct meetings? Because that's where you sign up to become a precinct delegate. If you did, you can still go to county & district convention (Havelock this year) & support your local RP peeps my your presence.

You can come & support ME!

This is from the state rules "Every Republican registered prior to January 31 preceding the Meetings shall be entitled to cast 1 vote, except that the January 31 requirement shall not apply to residents who have moved into the Precinct within 30 days of the Precinct Meeting." So, I believe you can vote....not sure if you can actually BE a delegate or not???

Being a precinct delegate is different than being a "super-delegate". Those delegates are voted on at our congressional district level. In order to vote for a strong Ron Paul delegate to represent our individual districts at national convention, one needs to be registered before Jan 31st. Those super delegates are generally discussed at your precinct meetings & county convention. then they are voted on at district convention. In order to be eligible to vote at county or district level, you must be 1)registered to vote before Jan 31st & 2)go to your precinct meetings.

BTW--I have it on a good source that if you missed your precinct meetings & still atttend county convention--if your voter precinct still has openings, you can fill them.
