Thread: Hutchison leaving, Rand for Senate?

Thumbs up Hutchison leaving, Rand for Senate?

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison will be leaving office soon... She might even leave in 09' If he would do it, think about the implications of a Rand Paul for Texas Senator... I think he has what it takes. And if anyone disagrees... We can just donate more to his campaign.

You may disagree... it was just a happy thought that I was thinking of.

How old is Rand Paul? He obviously has political aspirations but is going to need Congressional experience before he makes any attempt to follow in his father's footsteps.
Democracy is slavery: the illusion that the people run the government. People are not equal, in ability or mind, and those snakes who are influential in media can manipulate the fragile minds of the masses with simple jingoistic phrases. Most people are not cut out to make political decisions, for they have no faculties in examining a larger worldview, thus, their entirety of their political thought is reduced to "what can government do for me?"

Well, he can move... lol, seriously though. Rand should run for something. And I think he should be BOLD and go for something big like Senate. We all know we would back him.

Oh HELL Yeah - I certainly would support him and give to campaign of his just as generously as I give to Ron. I really hope at some point he does run.

I think Rand will/should get into politics. He has gotten a lot of exposure while campaigning for Paul. We might see a Ron Paul family legacy to continue on!

I saw Rand speak at my local university. I was thoroughly impressed. I'd vote for him.

i'd vote for him cause of his dad, which i guess makes me a little like the people here in MI who voted for Mitt cause of his dad, but oh well.

Kay Bailey Hutchinson is rumored to have her sights on the governorship.

    First post...heh...

Anyway, there are currently two "Ron Paul" Republicans running for Louisville Metro Council in Louisville, KY. The council just recently passed a smoking ban and a dangerous dog ordinance. In Louisville, we have a socialist mayor named Jerry Abramson. When they passed this smoking ban, they excluded Churchill Downs. This was ruled "unconstitutional," and overturned.

I agree that it was unconstitutional to allow Churchill Downs's patrons to smoke, while not allowing patrons of any other establishment. What kills me is that no one brought up the fact that it is unconstitutional to tell a bar owner that he could not allow cigarette smoking on his property!?!?

You can guarantee that our guys will make this an issue.

Aside from that, I am a precinct leader just south of Louisville. I WILL deliver my precinct for Dr. Paul .
