CNN Presents the Smug A-holes of the Year Awards (apologies in advance)

Okay, I apologize for this. It's totally inappropriate, but I could not resist. I find it very disconcerting that a potential president of the United States could show this arrogance and smugness to someone running for the same office just because they disagree with that person -- whether it be Rudy, Mike or Ron.

One is left to wonder if they would smirk like this when they are trying to discuss issues with our friends around the world.

Sadly, there were many, many still frames to choose from in the video of the debate, but this one fit my idea the best. Pathetic.

It's because every time RP speaks he exposes them for the sleazy salesmen that they are. Ron Paul opens his mouth and they feel inadequate and fraudulent ... the only way they know how to deal with it is to hide behind their wall of arrogance and snideness.

actually I think its because they know most people have no idea what the $#@! Ron is talking about.

He really should simplify the message a bit so even people educated in America can understand

Willard looks like he just launched an SBD attack in MUCKain's general direction. MUCKain has the same expression he has when he attempts to comprehend economics, and then gives up.

I just noticed Willard's and MUCKain's hand posture. They are attempting to "make their hands small," and to partially obscure them. This is usually an indication of a guilty conscience. That they position their hands in that manner, when Dr. Paul speaks, is very telling.

Romney looks like he's trying to let a fart out covertly.

I noticed the smuggery rose when RP answered the question about Iraq, but when he talked about 30,000 dead American young men, McCain had to desmuggify himself and bowed his smirking head. Not a good look on the telly!

Aye. Whenever Paul talks about the war or the economy, McCain can't meet his gaze.

And there's poor old Ron there, still trying to teach those little students that refuse to learn.

i just watched the eight minute highlight reel and couldn't believe how mccain sat there hunched over with that smug grin throughout every one of RP's answers. it was offensive and it will be a shame if that doesn't reflect poorly on him in the minds of voters. how people can watch the body language of those two and not be repulsed is beyond me. clearly, they are psychopaths of the highest order.

Yah that look on McCains face makes me wish Ron would open hand slap him right in his chins. Hopefully the wavelike motion created would Tsunami over to Romney and mess up his hairdo.

Yeah ... they did a lot of the head bowing. I had (unfortunately) a lot to choose from. Here are some other shots showing their immature behavior and Romney constantly looking at the camera/moderator.

those two were probably still kicking each other under the table while dr. paul was talking.

The thing is, Romney doesn't look smug. He actually takes in what Paul says and realizes that it makes sense and is making him look bad. McCain's only way to convince people to vote for him is to try and make the other guy look bad.
