Thumbs down 18 year old faces 11 years in prison for displaying noose

Well this takes the cake. 6 african americans are applauded for beating a white kid and kicking him in the head while he was lying unconscious and helpless, and now a different white kid faces 11 years in federal prison for the 'hate crime' of displaying a noose at black protestors.

If the 18-year old had repeatedly driven past a crowd of white protesters with a giant Lawrence Welk poster, would the feds have locked him up for committing a love crime?

    bad judgement

So maybe it was not the smartest thing in the world to do but the last time I checked, something like this would be considered free speech

They weren't exactly applauded. And I am in no way justifying their actions, but were you aware of the ongoing antagonism that led to the white kid getting stomped.
This is unfortunately another unintended consequence of forced integration.
It is also a testament of the ignorance and stupidity of racism.
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

Ok, maybe they weren't 'applauded', but their violent group assault on an unconscious individual was certainly excused by the likes of Al Sharpton as a justified reaction.

I'm no fan of race haters or the KKK, but these thought crimes are ridiculous. And if that white guy goes to prison for displaying a noose I would not be surprised to see a whole bunch of innocent black folks experience some very unpleasant blowback.

We need to start thinking about other everyday household items that could be construed as offensive to members of a protected minority.

    - Rope. (Could be used to make a hangman's noose)
    - Thread or string. (Enough strands make a rope, and we all know what that means ...)
    - Crosses in any size or form. (Obvious).
    - Shovels. (Used to bury civil rights victims ...)
    - Picks. (See shovels)
    - Fishing poles. (Contains fishing line, see "Thread or string" above)
    - Rubber ducks. (Reminiscent of slave ships bringing slaves from Africa - they float too.)
    - Apple boxes. (The auctioneer stood on one at slave auctions).
    - Bedsheets. (Can be made into hooded garments, and we know what that means ...)
    - Cotton underwear. (Made of cotton - "pick" your brain why this is a hate crime ...)
    - Horses. (Ridden by nasty guys wearing bedsheets. Usually the percale kind.)

Maybe Dr. Paul will pardon him.
