I live in Saint Paul(I like that name right next to Minneappolis, I heard on the news reports that Homeland Security was already in the city and was on the scene in 5-10 minutes, and that city officials were coincidentally training for this scenario a month ago. I hear ya Birdlady. I want to know more about that info also because it is very suspect if true. I've been googling to find more info on that but haven't run across anything yet. Also, before I started looking at news reports, I wondered to myself if there just happened to be some "work" going on at the same time the bridge collasped. Sure enough, when I went to look at articles, there was. I'm beginning to get that sick feeling in my stomach if nunaem's info is correct . And of course the organization taking the lead on the investigation (National Transportation Safety Board) are Bush appointees so we know what that means.

By saying that the event was not terror related, it reinforces the possibility in the public mind that it COULD have been terror related. Even though it wasn't, it COULD have been. You don't want that do you?

The only way I see this being a result of a conspiracy is if they said it was a terrorist attack. I'm sure you can imagine what would have followed if that were the case.

The article came out 2 days ago, and the Washington Avenue Bridge that the article refers to is just a little down river from the 35W bridge.

This was most likely a fluke accident, and I have no evidence to the contrary.
BUT, in these times I strive to suspend ALL disbelief.
Like in the NYC steam explosion, they immediately say it is not 'terror related'
I'm not completely convinced.
You see, it is not just fear of terrorism that leads to the erosion of the Republic, it is fear of LIVING.
Now, everyone in the country is wondering when they will fall from a bridge, or get steamed alive. It contributes to fear, and of course will make the sheeple look to government to take care of them

Like I said, I have no evidence of a conspiracy, so at this point I do not believe that either event was contrived, but one really has to wonder...

Pawlenty, who is now in the national spotlight, was probably going to be the VP choice for McCain. Now that McCain seems to be out of the race, there is talk of Pawlenty being the VP choice for Giuliani. If the bridge collapse had been a terrorist attack, that would make it a ticket of the poster-gov of 9/11 and the poster-gov of the attack on Minneapolis, not to mention the renewed popularity of the War on Terror. It seems it would have been too good an opportunity to not make the most of it if they were behind the bridge collapse in the first place.

There is no way those "chosen" front runners can choose a "not corrupt" VP. If they do, they will be unable to continue with the agenda. They have to have corrupt officials in the upper ranks of the White House who wll not expose them. Same pattern as Bush appointees/cronies.
