464 South Carolinians killed/wounded during Operation Iraqi Freedom

Amidst all these SC flag wars, it is easy to forget sacrifices South Carolinians made to defend our freedoms and way of life. Question came to mind what would have these South Carolinians who gave their lives fighting for Operation Iraqi Freedom wanted about types of flags flying in SC?

During OIF, US troops often flew both the US flag with stars and stripes and the Iraqi flag with "Allau Akbar".

Oh I get it now... that's what we're fighting for over there. I've been so confused.

'We endorse the idea of voluntarism; self-responsibility: Family, friends, and churches to solve problems, rather than saying that some monolithic government is going to make you take care of yourself and be a better person. It's a preposterous notion: It never worked, it never will. The government can't make you a better person; it can't make you follow good habits.' - Ron Paul 1988

How many of them were/are black? Did those lives matter?

I guess you notice what flag they are carrying. I wonder if we ask to remove the U.S. flag, if all wars will immediately come to an end.
