Most Presidential or election campaigns you'd sign up for would have you walk the streets or don a button and a hat and work a booth. The Ron Paul campaign has that, but it's not really what I'm referring to with the thread title.

This campaign is unlike any other that has ever existed. The grassroots enthusiasm and independent organization for Ron Paul is bigger than anything that's ever been seen before in the United States. There are literally thousands of websites built and maintained by supporters, hundreds of thousands of online videos in support of Dr. Paul, and many various independent projects, organizations, and initiatives.

So where should one spend time and resources? Where should potential support be directed?

Over the course of both the 2008 and 2012 campaigns, sensible answers to these questions have changed. Various projects, fundraisers, and issues have become important enough to warrant attention - both from grassroots planning and from campaign planning.

Now, just a few short days away from the Iowa Caucuses, what are the sensible answers today?

Here is my evaluation.

Time:

#1: Phone from home:
http://phone.ronpaul2012.com/v/login.php?v=1

There is broad consensus that this is far and away the #1 thing to do with your time to help Ron Paul get elected.

The Phone from Home program lets you use your cell phone, land line, or Skype to make phone calls to potential caucusgoers in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and other early states. It's super easy and no special skills necessary - just read the script. You don't have to understand issues, be knowledgeable, be a good talker, or anything like that. You only read a simple script and click the button that the caller chooses.

#2: Share things with family and friends

Hopefully you've been working on your family and friends. These are the people you have most influence over, and the first group on which to focus for most people. Have you sent out an email to them? Phone text? Phone call? Watched the 'For Liberty' movie with them? Invited them on Facebook? Tweeted? Are those who have expressed support willing to do the same, and volunteer to Phone from Home? Are they registered to vote? Will they share on FB, etc?

#3: Share things with the general public

There are various methods of reaching the public at large available to you. The point to determine in many cases will be your set of skills, and the time frame. Remember, Iowa and New Hampshire and Nevada are crucial, and spending time on projects leaning toward these early states will bear more fruit. If you can write letters to the editor, consider doing so in an early state. If you post comments to online newspapers or news sites, consider doing so on a site that focuses on an early state.

Where to spend your money? Well I can give you some ideas

#1: Donate to the campaign
https://secure.ronpaul2012.com/

The official campaign is spending its money on the early states - airing excellent television ads and getting Ron on the campaign trail there. You can be sure money you give the campaign will equate to progress toward Ron Paul getting elected. If you have not already donated the FEC maximum to the campaign, it is quite likely that any given dollar dedicated to the cause is best spent by the campaign.

#2: Donate to RevolutionPAC
http://www.revolutionpac.com/donate/

Revolution PAC is the Ron Paul grassroots SuperPAC. They are working on mailings to early states, newspaper ads, a debate party in NH, and a mobile billboard. They ran a TV ad during a debate. It is comprised of and associated with several well known and longstanding activists of this movement, including makers of the 'For Liberty' movie and Tom Woods.

This is, I would say, the second best expenditure of personal dollars toward getting Ron elected, and the best for those maxed out to the official campaign. There are many other grassroots projects in need of money, but none so focused, effective, reliable, and noteworthy.

#3: Yard Sign, Bumper Sticker, T-Shirt

Get your gear and start conversations in your daily life. Shows support for Ron is widespread, even after the election. Especially important if you live in an early state, or a big city near one, like Boston.

-----------------------

So that all brings me to the point in the title of this thread. There was a great deal of time since 2007 spent discussing the best projects and the best methods of activism. That time is now largely over - it's time to support what is there.

For instance:
Make a new youtube video? Or just send people to http://www.youtube.com/ronpaul?

Start a website with a chipin? Or help market an existing one like http://www.revolutionpac.com?

Craft a long winded email? Or forward a campaign email?

At this point the ingenuity (which has served all of us well) and planning phases are largely over. It's time to just do it. Convert your friends and family, get them to the polls, phone from home, direct people to the websites, and fund the campaign and RevolutionPAC.

That's all it takes!

So, what next? Well how much time and money do you have?

1. Donate
2. Make an email. Consider forwarding one from the Ron Paul campaign, or an article from http://www.ronpaul2012.com. Include a link to youtube.com/ronpaul and ronpaul2012.com and revolutionpac.com.
3. Make a text message. Include the same links above for smartphones.
4. Sign up for call from home. It's easy, trust me. I expected it to take skill, it really doesn't you just do it.

Go for it, and we'll win.
