Between regulations and the federal budget, gvmt costs us 5.5 Trillion a year. The GDP in 2013 was 80.6 Trillion.

It doesn't cost the cost of unfounded mandates imposed on the state, that's just lumped in to what the state will impose on the taxpayer.
