But they are all nearly the same.

-- U.S. military forces conducted an operation Monday against the Al-Shabaab network in Somalia, Pentagon press secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby said.

"We are assessing the results of the operation and will provide additional information as and when appropriate," he said.

No other information was immediately available.
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

They've been striking Somalia consistently for years now.

Apaches fire missiles, troops drop in, collect bodies for DNA analysis.

Not simply that they are paying Somali warlords hundreds of thousands of dollars to capture or kill suspected militants. Many times innocent people are executed. If they are right (or can pass off a certain corpse as a target's) they get paid. If not, not much a $#@! is given.

Al-Shabaab is a creation of US government policy. The ICU (Islamic Courts Union) rose up after the meddling in the '90s and the vacuum created by the dismantlement of the Somalian governmental infrastructure. Policy in other neighboring countries propped up Al-Shabaab from the position as a rag tag bunch to what it is now. That being, a relative powerhouse in the Jihadist movement.

    Fail after fail after fail.
