If he is to be AG, what voice will he really have in an issue that is to be decided by Congress?

He can jump up and down and scream until he wets himself - I see it making little difference. His role as AG will be an effective demotion in status to that of a mere instrument of implementation, rather than as partner in the architecture of statute and, occasionally, Law.

    What am I missing?

ETA: Not to be a downer, but I hope we all realize just how screwed the so-called "liberty movement" is going to be when Ron Paul shuffles off that mortal coil. Cohesion is low as it stands. It stands to go a whole lot lower.

There is only one correct way: freedom. All other solutions are non-solutions.

It appears that artificial intelligence is at least slightly superior to natural stupidity.

Our words make us the ghosts that we are.

Convincing the world he didn't exist was the Devil's second greatest trick; the first was convincing us that God didn't exist.

Looking at the comments section for the video, it's filled with Repubs that are hooting and hollering about the dangers of marijuana.

I guess they continue to forget their political ideology is or used to represent small government, but instead promotes something far more similar to modern day big government babycare liberalism. Many congratulations for that.

You're missing the fact that Congress has not legalized marijuana so the attorney general of the U.S. can enforce federal law and crack down on marijuana even where it has been legalized at the state level. Obama's AGs, despite their faults, by and large did not go marijuana users in states where marijuana is legal. Further Jeff Sessions is a champion of asset forfeiture and the unPatriotic Act.
