ABC News/WaPo: Rand leading another national poll

    Topline numbers:
    Polling date.......4/27 1/23*

    Rand Paul........15....11
    Mike Huckabee...14.....NA
    Jeb Bush...........12....18
    Paul Ryan..........12.....18
    Chris Christie......9.....14
    Ted Cruz...........7......12
    Marco Rubio.......6.....10
    Rick Perry..........5......NA
    Scott Walker......5.....NA
    Bobby Jindal.......2......NA
    John Kasich........1......NA
    An interesting observation from ABC:
Paul may have some durability among his supporters. This poll added five names to the potential Republican lineup, compared with an ABC/Post poll in January. As a group, possible candidates on the original, shorter list lost support when others were added. Paul didn’t.

I want to see a Paul Walker ticket in 2016.

Wow, that surge in support after adding a bunch of candidates is rather startling in a very good way.
No doubt if Jeb's numbers leapt like this it would be front page news everywhere.

So Rand leads in the poll but they only poll Clinton vs Bush. Can the media make it any more obvious they want that matchup?

to be fair; they wouldn't know that Randal was leading until after the polling was complete.

While that's nice and all, I'm struck by how tacky it looks to wear a lapel pin on a dinner jacket.

What is that white thing dangling next to Walker's watch? A price tag? A rental ticket?

leading national polls are nice but Rand has to get the lead again in Iowa and build in NH.

Grassroots made Ron slowly buildup in Iowa. We'll do that again for Rand. I predict nothing less than 25% for Rand on caucus night in Iowa 2016.

That's awesome that they got to hang out together (suspect Rand hasn't spent much time with Walker yet).

Have a link to more photos from the gala?

Maurice Clemmons is going to end Huckabee's candidacy if he runs, bank on it. It's Willie Horton X10, as Horton didn't even kill anyone after Dukakis' furlough program set him free.

On topic... I haven't been followin these polls as much as I did leading up to 08 and 12, well I'm no college student anymore, but Huckabee? Seriously?
So the neocons want their 3rd pick of 08? Seriously if you are an MSM supported puppet who lost to McCain and Romney in 08, you're unlikely to beat the democrats in '16. That ain't rocket science.

I don't really see how this is possible being that Rand certainly has conspiracy theorists as supporters...

My opinion is that I think this is good but just a start. He is winning by only 1%. That is within the margin of error. Rand is virtually tied with Huckabee. I saw if both of them run Huckabee will win Iowa and Rand will win New Hampshire. They will be fighting each other for the nomination. If Bush runs, he will win Florida. But I doubt Bush will be a serious competitor. Rand can also win Nevada and Maine. But we need Rand to poll even higher on national polls and this must happen by the beginning of 2016. If Rand can win the national polls by about 5% or higher then we can safely say he is the frontrunner. We need Rand to do well in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada to start the momentum.
