Btw I gave their new constitution a read and I almost threw up a few times. They are bound to eventually have the same problems all over again as per usual in every single government on this planet.

Preamble
We, the people who inhabit Iceland, wish to create a just society where every person has
equal opportunity. Our diverse origin enriches our society and together we are responsible for
the heritage of generations, our country and its history, nature, language and culture.
Iceland is a free and sovereign state with freedom, equality, democracy and human rights as
its cornerstones.
The government shall endeavour to strengthen the welfare of the country‘s inhabitants,
encourage their culture and respect the diversity of the life of the people, the country and its
biosphere.
We wish to promote harmony, security and happiness amongst us and coming generations.
We are determined to work towards peace with other nations and respect for the earth and all
mankind.
In light thereof we set a new Constitution, the supreme law of the land that all must observe.
Chapter I.
Basic elements
Article 1.
Form of government
Iceland is a parliamentary democracy. :(
They are definitely going to have the same problems again. They weren't chained to the Euro, so they were able to inflate and kick the can down the road. Next time it will be much worse.
No doubt we will follow the Greece Plan. As a matter of fact, we have the financial consultants, so the results will be the same.
They beat the banks. We won't. The banks will win here in the sense that they will walk away with the loot and we will suffer the consequences. But if we are smart enough, we can rebuild something stable.
I hear her an I'm thinking...Eminent Domain.
And is she married?
P.S. I'm wondering what would be a fair price for the property that was needed and recovered through Eminent Domain. What was the average amount on the check each Icelander received when it was purchased in the first place?
Was it an honest deal in the first place?
