Possibly the best anti war song ever.
So long it's in two parts. (ETA - Derpa derpa derp moment: the song was released in 1967 - sorry)

Waylon! *swoon*
One of my favorites!
YouTube - The Kinks - 20th Century ManAnother of my all-time faves.
YouTube - Elvis Costello - Oliver's Army (Relaid Audio)

This is an "anti-occupation anthem"
Also interesting:
"During the recording of Armed Forces at Eden Studios in West London, the incomplete "Oliver's Army" was nearly dropped from the album, but was eventually kept after keyboardist Steve Nieve created the piano part for the song, inspired by ABBA's "Dancing Queen.""

Can someone tell me how you make the youtubes show? Sorry, feel like an idiot!
Your link seems to be wrong, though I can't go to youtube.com at work so it is impossible for me to verify.. but normally you just put a regular old youtube link in. Yours has a ! instead of a ?, I took that out but it still doesn't work.. Gotta normalize the link somehow.
One of the bands at the top of my playlist back in the day.

Really incredible song.
Did you ever realize how complex that bass line is?
Check this out: (Love to hear from BossoBass about this)

While on the subject of incredibly talented youtube performances and 1970s songs, check out this cover of one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands.
This actually made me misty eyed listening to it.
