Israeli professor links Toulouse to "Christian hatred for Jews" in enlightened Europe

We see the shooting attack in Toulouse as part of a historical chain of events, part of a political program, one of three into which enlightened Europe rolled Christian hatred for Jews and though which it sought a "final solution" to the Jewish question.

The first program, which began in the mid-19th century, was linked to the development of socialism. It was Karl Marx who proposed solving the Jewish question by eliminating their god of money - that is, capitalism. Eliminate the gods of capitalism and the Jews will disappear, he wrote. Marx's logic may have missed a thing or two when it came to economics, but Soviet communism, which was based on his doctrine, among other things, waged war against the USSR's Jewish elites.

The second program for solving the Jewish problem was fascist. Almost 100 years after Marx, Hitler proposed a different solution to this so-European of questions - a well-oiled death machine that killed six million Jews in Europe.

The third response to the Jewish question offered a real alternative. the Zionist political solution was born next door to Marx's Germany, in Austria. The only way to resolve the Jewish question, Theodor Herzl said, was to build a national homeland for the Jewish people in the Land of Israel.

After examining the programs Europe had enacted with regard to the Jews, Herzl realized that the only solution for the Jews of Europe was to leave because, as Dov Navon put it in the enduring Hahamishia Hakamerit skit, Europe has "either alte-Nazis or neo-Nazis."

I am finding it more and more interesting that in the aftermath of a French Muslim shooting and killing a French Rabbi and his three sons (ages 3-8) the only threads we have on it are those that are finding ways to bash Israel and Jews.

Between this and the reaction to the death sentence for the Christian Pastor in Iran it's far beyond supposed claims of "non-interventionist" on here. I don't give a shit what some random professor in Israel says. But the reaction of supposed Ron Paul supporters to the mowing down of three kids is telling. "Non-interventionist" my ass.

Help me out , Islamic nutjob guy shoots some Islamic airborne troops , shoots some kids and a Rabbi, and this has what to do with Christianity ????

Who was blaming the little kid.I was blaming the professor and the general Israel policy that everyone is against them.

The killer of that kid also killed 4 more french soldiers all of the black and by their names probably 2 of them were Muslim.

We don't give billions in aid to Iran and rest assured that Christian pastor will not be executed, that is just part of war propaganda push between Iran and Israel.

My view is clear, I see current Israel regime as an apartheid and a parasite to US tax payers that oppresses Palestinians under its open ended occupation using some douchbaggery medieval ideologies and causing 9/11 type blowbacks for America. If I have to prioritize, I'll pick the story of the Christian boy in US tax payers funded Israel who was purim bombed for accepting Christ by a US born ziono terrorist than news story about an Iranian Pastor who will never be executed for accepting Christ.
Recent killings in France have nothing to do with Christianity and this thread was about an Israeli paper article that linked it to Christians and thus maligned Christians. You have no problem with that as along its a ziono or Israeli doing this?

Israel's largest paper is written in English? I read it twice and it's not actually clear to me what he is saying. He seems to be saying that Israel society responds to it in many ways. He also links it to Karl Marx so he's a bit all over the place. You have to really stretch to see it as radical or as an attack on Christians.

Three Jewish kids in France were killed because of their religion - I believe one of them was three years old. You have started two articles on this event one linking to this article and the other arguing about the definition of "semite".

Christians and Jews are the same exact people. For instance, Polish Christians and Polish Jews have the same DNA because they're both Polish. An Ethiopian Jew and a black Ethiopian are the same people because they're both Ethiopian.

The anger isn't directed at Muslim immigration into the Christian West, which is where it belongs. You can't just import people from the third world that believe in dark age Islam and expect everything to be OK. You now have gang-rapes, riots, prayer in the street, and all this other nonsense. I'm one that says Muslims shouldn't be tolerated in Christian nations whatsoever. 1,000 straight years of attacking Christendom shouldn't be forgotten.

Not exactly. European Jews (Ashkenazis and Sephardic) do have a higher amount of European DNA than other Jews, but for most part they are still Jews. Religious-mixing wasn't tolerated until rather recently. Ethiopian Jews even have a high amount of Middle Eastern DNA. I even saw a documentary on an ancient Jewish tribe that traveled all the way to southern Africa, despite looking black: they still had heavy amount of Middle Eastern genes.

I'll believe that Ethiopian Jews have a high amount of Middle Eastern DNA but I find it hard that white Ashkenazi Jews of different ethnicities do as well.

It's impossible for white people to come from the middle of the earth. It goes against science. Every person that comes from the middle of the Earth is dark. Look along the whole equator. Every person has dark skin. There's no way that Ashkenazi Jews of different ethnicities started there. It simply goes against science.

Haaretz is Israel's most influential newspaper and news site. It's published in both Hebrew and English.
