That was exactly my first thought when I saw that tweet
... I think that is kind of the point of the tweet, no?
Just donated.
Depending on how much credit you give the drunken monkey, he could be both insulting Cuomo, and pointing out that red flag laws could easily be applied to anybody (abused), both at the same time. A twofer.
Quote:
Would Chris Cuomo be given a Red Flag for his recent rant? Filthy language and a total loss of control. He shouldn’t be allowed to have any weapon. He’s nuts!
That sounds like a question @Swordsmyth has just the answer for.
And there it is. That's the crux of the whole problem, right there.
It isn't the gun-grabbing politicians who are the real danger.
By themselves, most of those posturing jackasses wouldn't have the balls to take candy from a baby.
The ones who are really to blame are all the assholes who are "just following orders" ...
(... and as far as I'm concerned, they can shove rusty spikes up their asses - right alongside their goddam worthless "apologies" ...)
:mad::mad::mad:
So many Trump supporters who consider themselves gun rights supporters will follow their guttural partisan instinct and side with Trump on this and viciously attack Amash for his betrayal. I'll wait and see if any of this website's new anti-libertarian majority joins in.
Oh it's good to see Amash is back in everyone's good graces.
Amash may become a minority within Republicans given MAGA's forceful personality.
Had not thought MAGA would make this kind of shift post election, with help of Ivanaks he's building strong coalition with Dems for gun control.

Ivanka Trump involved in congressional outreach on gun reform
August 13, 2019 / 10:04 AM / CBS News
President Trump's daughter and senior aide Ivanka Trump is involved in the White House's outreach to members of Congress, a White House official told CBS News. Her outreach, the official said, is a part of the White House office of legislative affairs' efforts to engage members of Congress in talks about gun policy.
Ivanka Trump "has trusted relationships on both sides of the aisle and she is working in concert with the White House policy and legislative teams," a White House official said. Axios first reported Ivanka Trump's involvement.
The president's elder daughter was the first in the Trump family to declare the shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, acts of "terror." And she has voiced support for "red flag" laws, which would allow law enforcement to take weapons from Americans deemed to be a risk to themselves or others.

When he says, "We have very very strong background checks right now but we have uh, sorta missing areas, areas that don't complete the whole circle and we're looking at different things...."
He is referring to anti-2nd Amendment legislation.
Namely, he is pushing for universal background checks and for ways for one to be adjudicated as being mentally unfit to own firearms without having a court declare as much.
