In a Chinook, I'm thinking - this is a big slow moving target.
Everybody in the military rationalizes their choices. The infantry guys think they can hide in a hole in the ground, the armor guys figure if the vehicle breaks, I've got some armor protection, or I can get out and walk, and then hide in a hole in the ground, if I have too. I don't know what rotor heads were thinking .......
