(NaturalNews) The year before water fluoridation began in the United States, the entire dental profession recognized that fluoride was detrimental to dental health. In fact, in 1944 the Journal of the American Dental Association reported that using between 1.6 and 4 ppm (parts per million) fluoride in water would cause 50% of adults to need false teeth. On top of that, the world’s largest study looked at 400,000 students, revealing that tooth decay increased in over 25% with just 1ppm fluoride in drinking water. Yet still, in 1945, fluoride was put into municipal water systems in Newburgh, New York, and Grand Rapids, Michigan. Over the next 50 years, more than 60 percent of the U.S. population was “fluoridated” at a minimum of 1 ppm. Currently, over 75% of the United States water supply contains this deadly toxin.

One part of the hoax, “fluoride helps with tooth formation,” was removed from the “American Fluoride Campaign” early on. Realizing this might expose the entire campaign as fraudulent, the FDA and CDC simply removed that language, but kept the masses believing that fluoride keeps dental cavities at bay.


Over 70% of America still clings to the multi-faceted myth

Research proves that fluoride is an extremely neurotoxic chemical which interrupts basic functions of nerve cells in the brain and can lead to Alzheimer’s, atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), infertility, birth defects, diabetes, cancer and lowered IQ. The aluminum “tricks” the blood-brain barrier and allows chemical access to brain tissue.


Think fluoride is used by the rest of the world? France, Germany, Japan, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Finland, India and Great Britain have all rejected its use after special commissions and health secretaries reviewed the negative evidence.

Think fluoride cleanses the water? Fluoride is one of the basic ingredients in military nerve gas. Sodium fluoride is a hazardous waste by-product from the manufacture of aluminum and fertilizer, and it is a common ingredient in roach and rat poisons.

Think fluoride fights cavities and strengthens bones? Dental fluorosis is often caused by over-exposure to fluoride when the dental enamel is mineralizing during childhood. Think fluoride evaporates from water? Fluoride does not evaporate from water left sitting out. Also,boiling or freezing won’t help at all, and basic filters like Brita do not remove it. Reverse osmosis does remove it, and natural spring water does not contain it.

Because the ADA maintains a stranglehold on the dental profession, no dentists are ever openly critical of fluoride. The ADA can influence State Dental Boards which can take away a dentist’s license, so you won’t hear anything negative about it from your dentist. Most brands of toothpaste contain at least 1,000 ppm fluoride, so if a child were to eat an entire tube, he/she would die.

Fluoride has never received FDA approval and does not meet “requirements of safety and effectiveness.” The FDA states that fluoride is a prescription drug. Because this “drug” is put in municipal water, there is absolutely no control over individual dosage.

So, why on earth would the USA’s regulatory agencies allow such a nightmare to perpetuate? In the early 1900′s, when important vitamins (like B12) were discovered and natural remedies became popular, medicine was basically unprofitable. Fluoridation was a planned experiment of mass medication to induce diseases that would later be “treated” with expensive healthcare, and that is why government paid healthcare in America is nothing but a pipe dream.

They conveniently neglect to cite the findings of these special commissions. They also neglect to point out that these commissions opted to recommend fluoridation of table salt as an alternative method for reducing tooth decay in France and Germany.

There is no evidence whatsoever that proves that sodium fluoride prevents tooth decay. Sodium fluoride is a toxic waste. There is naturally occurring fluoride but that is not what is dumped in municipal waters, toothpaste and mouthwash.

That's not what I asked, and you won't find me claiming that fluoridated water is a good thing. But back to my question: Do people in Grand Rapids have a higher incidence of false teeth, having been exposed to fluoridation longer? Or, is the article linked in the OP citing research that has long since been proven false?

That isn't the way I remember the story being told of the way fluoridation came about.

What I heard was a ways back people would get cavities. There was an area of the country that was real freakish. People there had way less cavities. A study was done and it seemed to point to the level of fluoride found naturally in the drinking water.

From what I'm thinking it was during a time of big discoveries concerning vitamins. I think another one about then was when we started pasteurizing the milk. People started getting something like the rickets. I'm not sure if it was rickets but the pasteurization destroyed some of the natural vitamins in the milk. They found that it broke down the vitamin D. Once that was replaced children could again walk. (P.S. I'm not saying it was the rickets but it Was the Rickets.)

There is a huge difference between Calcium fluoride, which is naturally occurring, and Sodium fluoride (poison). Google the difference between the two instead of blindly supporting the poisoners. When was the last time the government told you the truth?

The Grand Rapids experiment was supposed to take 15 years, during which time health benefits and hazards were to be studied. In 1946, however, just one year into the experiment, six more U.S. cities adopted the process. By 1947, 87 more communities were treated; popular demand was the official reason for this unscientific haste."

Although I haven't found much follow-up on Grand Rapids dentures, I did find this information:

"Eventually, the fluoridation results for Newburgh and Grand Rapids were partially published and have largely been ignored ever since. Although there was no measurable decrease in tooth decay, Newburgh boys had twice the incidence of skeletal deformities and a higher tooth-mottling rate as compared to the unfluoridated control group in nearby Kingston. Seeing how Newburgh fared, Kingston has successfully resisted having its water supply fluoridated for nearly sixty years. Other Newburgh data was noteworthy, although largely suppressed: Newburgh developed one of the highest heart disease rates in the United States, and girls came to puberty earlier than the control group. The heart disease rate in Grand Rapids doubled after the first five years of the fluoridation experiment.[18]"

The original research intended to support the initial addition of fluoride into drinking water, was flawed. For example, in 1945, the US Public Health Service began to add sodium fluoride into the municipal drinking water of Grand Rapids, MI, the first city in the US to fluoridate. Grand Rapids was supposed to serve as the test city. It's dental decay rates were to be compared with those of Muskegon, MI, which was non-fluoridated. After ten years, it was to be determined if fluoride was both safe and effective.



Amazingly, this "research" was to be performed on an entire city, rather than using a voluntary sampling group initially. More strange was that long before the study was completed, the Public Health Service and the American Dental Association endorsed fluoridation. This was in 1950, only a few years into the supposed ten-year study. WIthin a short time after that, Muskegon, the control city, was also fluoridated. The decision and the endorsements entirely overshadowed the fact that the tooth decay rate in non-fluoridated Muskegon had decreased about as much as the fluoridated city, Grand Rapids.



Not only was the science incomplete, but in addition, sodium fluoride was soon replaced by another fluoride substance, hydrofluosilicic acid, a byproduct of the phosphate fertilizer industry primarily, and also from some aluminum plants. Early in the 1950's, the PHS gave its blessing to these alternate sources of fluoride, without having even attempted to research them. The EPA admits it still has no data on the long term detrimental effects of silicofluorides.

Well, I cannot answer that because I do not live in any other country.

The FDA leads people to believe they are looking out for their best interest--it's a false sense of security. Many people take what FDA approves and never use their own discernment or their own gut instincts, to a lesser extent. This blind faith is dangerous. Many people have died as a result of blindly trusting the FDA.

In truth, the FDA watches out for the best interests of Big Pharma.
