So Anthony went head to head in a recent debate with Mark Levin, the moderator. Levin, the neocon, was trying to pound Anthony for saying that the US government has no business being involved in the Ukraine conflict. This is something about 60% of the Republican electorate agrees with. Rep Sabatini is running for Congress in my hometown here just north of Orlando. While I was lobbying for Florida to pass Constitutional Carry the last year with Florida Gun Rights, Anthony was the one who sponsored the bill the last 3 years. We made more progress this time than in the past. But the important thing that I observed is that Sabatini was the only one in the legislature with a real spine. There were 2 or 3 who would somewhat stick their necks out there but not to the extent that Sabatini would. While I don't agree with Anthony on everything the reality is that he could very well be the next Thomas Massie if he gets elected. He will stand firm, vote right, and call out the bad Republicans on their nonsense.

Incorrect. There is no perfect system because we are dealing with humans and nature, specifically human nature. Fundamentally there are genuine conflicts, bad actors, predators, and rash behavior driven by emotion. So the idea is to find the best system possible and acknowledge its flaws and make it as close to perfect possible by designing it to compensate for its flaws. A constitutional republic with checks and balances so far is the best way to do that that humanity has come up with. Again proving my point that anarchists don't have any understanding of human nature or reality.

You're delusional and don't grasp reality. Governments are bad, fundamentally, but so far they are the best method for providing justice and securing individual rights that humans have come up with.... but they need to be kept as small and limited as possible, because they are bad. There is no perfect systems, just ones that are less bad than others.

Yes, that is due to the lawyers and weak politicians. Lawyers are now trained in the legal hierarchy and that the SCOTUS is the end all be all to every legal question (it isn't). And the weak politicians listen to the lawyers. Why bother suing the federal government in federal court? That is asinine and nearly always a foregone conclusion. You are absolutely correct. Sadly most of the nullification laws that have been passed simply prevent state government officials from assisting the feds in enforcing specific federal laws. Interposition laws are whats needed. But there are very few with the spine to push that into law, not to mention actually enforce it. Lots of it has to do with the power the feds have over money really. It is impossible to compete against an unlimited money machine. As I've maintained for years, if the US ever has a currency crisis, that will be the time when regional balkanization will be the most opportune. At that point the feds will have a lot less control over state governments if their currency is worthless.

As a minacrhist, I don't want the government solving anything, but I also realize that we will turn in to mob rule if there isn't some sort of government in place. So the reality is that police can usually not protect people or property as much as they can show up after the fact and take a report. Government's job isn't protection and keeping us safe, as much as it is to provide justice after the fact.

This is absolutely false. There are many predators outside of the government. And this is what anarchy doesn't take into account. Not at all. Anarchy = democracy = mob rule. And this is exactly the crux of the issue. Anarchists fail to account for aggressive and predatory humans.

Anarchy does not take in to account human nature and how some humans are predatory. There must be some, very limited, very restrained government, to provide justice and attempt to secure the individual rights of the citizens. It doesn't do a good job at this, but so far it is the best system humans have found. But as Jefferson quipped, government must be "reset" every once in a while.

Except for the influx of lefties into Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and El Paso. And remember, just because a legislature is red (like Florida) doesn't mean that the state will go red in a Presidential or US Senate election. The gerrymandering of state legislatures is very entrenched and has been for a while. Look at the ratios of both FL and TX, and then look at their % of the previous few Presidential elections, and you'll see it isn't exactly the same. Yes, kind of.... This is why DeSantis started his hard right messaging (as soon as he saw it was politically safe to). He scared away a lot of Yank libs that were planning to move down to FL exactly as you described. But again, he just slowed the change, for now, Florida is still purple statewide. It'll remain red for 2 elections, but after that there is a very good chance it goes blue.

I don't know that I believe this. I mean it would be nice if it were true, but urban areas attract people who like big government by their very nature. Can you show me an example? I think Jefferson touched on this in some of his writings, and I think the divide has been as old as the nation itself. The problem isn't so much that urban areas are liberal and progressive, it's that they want to impose their will on people who choose not to live their lifestyle. And even worse there is actually a liberal / progressive movement for these types to leave the urban areas and move into small and rural towns in an attempt to transform them.

I seriously doubt that. Do you have a link? Yes, in general, whenever a for-profit entity does something completely irrational, if you peer behind the curtain, government is usually the cause. That being said, JIT is probably more cost-effective when it works. When it doesn't work, well then it is an inefficient disaster... as we've seen in the last 2 years. The flights I was doing, were not really part of JIT. They were instances when the supply chain had an error or inefficiency, thus they needed my flight ops to fill the gaps and get the parts there on time to prevent interruptions. I suspect the fact that profit on cars is primarily derived from manufacturer credit may have something to also do with the skyrocketing prices now that I think about it. Since credit is subsidized by the Fed (govt-ish), it distorts the market and causes prices to be higher. Just like how the government has subsidized student loans thus tuition has increased. I could be wrong, that's just a rambling guess on my part tho.
