The only two things Rep. Gabbard has in common with Dr. Ron Paul are: She boldly calls out her own political party for its corruption and failure to uphold its principles, and She is against interventionist foreign policies. Other than those things, she is a Progressive, through and through, which means she is an enemy of a true, Constitutional republic and has no respect for the rule of law, private property, the life of the defenseless unborn, and pretty much every other individual right given to us from God, not the State.

Or you could try to do some or all of those things without being an asshole about it. In which case, your mileage may well vary. It's a disturbing look under the mask when you see a MIP slip. We all are. The average height in Japan is under 5' 5". It's not that big a challenge.

It's what both parties are about, and always have been. It is the definition of how the two party system serves the "Deep State". They have "perfect is the enemy of the good"-ed us into slavery. The Gridiron Thinkers scream about which is the greater evil and which is the lesser evil all through the general election and beyond. The problem is, that same thinking pervades during the primary season. Instead of studying up and making damned sure their primary vote goes to the best candidate, they get caught up in the horse race. They're more interested in making sure they vote for the eventual nominee than in making sure they vote for the best. That's how they get played by the pollsters. It's like those football teams who spend all their salary cap on the prettiest quarterback, and wind up with no receivers, no safeties, and no decent linemen. Then they wonder why the season didn't go better. At the end of the day, people who don't hold their team accountable seven during the season--don't get a better team.

Well, yes, I'd say stopping the people who are trying to stop the gun grabbing by promoting gun grabbing would be one hell of a good first step.

The friend of your enemy is who you call friend, because your enemy and your enemy's friend are playing like they got mad at each other. Meanwhile you've turned into an enemy of your friends because they're trying to tell you the truth, because... Isn't amazing how much Republicans love canoeing in Egypt? Some of them spend all the waking hours of their lives in de Nile.

No, the Ron Paul strategy is to demand that one political party or the other refrain from grabbing guns. But we can't have a political party that refrains from grabbing guns, because people like you get all moist and wobbly-kneed when you see loudmouthed celebrities with orange hair. It's hard to hold someone's feet to the fire with all you people squirting on the flame and putting it out--no matter what your orange dreamboat does to you. Fortunately, I don't have to read your prog playbook plays and your semiliterate screeds too.

Ever hear the old quip, "Do something even if it's wrong"? Ever hear the same frogs that croaked that quip later ask how the water got boiling hot? Remember when businesses competed, no one counted on the government to interfere, and we laughed at China?

Remember when Frederick Bastiat said, if you say you don't want the state to grow the food, the socialists will accuse you of wanting everyone to starve? Congratulations. Your arguments have sunk just as low as those childish nineteenth century socialists Bastiat was talking about.

He doesn't. He takes their money and their orders, and says nothing more than, "Do you want fries with that?" But he has to sound like a referee making a bogus call in favor of the team, or the idiots won't cheer. Trump's Twitstream has one purpose. It gives the Ministry of Truth something to talk about that doesn't mean one damned thing.

You've got him confused with someone else. That guy who named himself after Limey granny panties has convictions of a sort. His convictions can't be based on anything solid like bedrock principles, because those are too adult a puzzle for him. So he defaults to the convictions of the gridiron. My team for good or evil, rah rah rah! Seriously, where else do you see guys react to good, just calls by booing the referee because it set their team back, and cheering referees for totally screwing up in their team's favor? No, this Dude's priorities make that crap seem noble. He'll switch teams in a second; he's done it before... So what constitutes "fair weather" to this fair weather fan? Simple. He'll pick the side that gives him greater chances of being an asshole. Sure, being a Prog gave him plenty of opportunity to be an asshole. Witness how he argued, inferred and insulted for weeks on end against a proposition he agreed with all along, under the guise of being a Prog. But he finally figured out that nothing this side of mid century Germany has ever been a greater excuse for being an arrogant asshole over nothing than the Grand Old Party. Why do you think he talks politics? He clearly has no convictions at all, or he couldn't switch "sides" with such ease. He clearly has little interest in the subject, or he'd know something about it. He has said it himself. He figures it gives him license to be an asshole:

Sorry, there was no mention of the regulation reductions in the initial tweet posted here. Seems like Trump is a little butthurt that he gave the auto industry a little "free market" room on emissions and the market decided to stick with reducing emissions anyway. Oh well.

I'm willing to admit I'm wrong, but I haven't found any sources where Omar, at least (I'm not all that familiar with the other one), has cited a wish to destroy Israel. She throws a lot of blame Israel's way, but I haven't found any indication that she wants it gone. Please let me know where you're getting that from. If these two are openly calling for troops to ransack the country or something along those lines, then we have a problem.

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.
