You too. Maybe your Marxist revolution will occur and you won't have to play this role on the Internet.

As much as it sucks now, I have read enough about the French and Bolshevick Revolutions to know that things can get a whole lot worse. Your false sanctimony does not fool me in the slightest.

There was a fairly good article on how the the self-important FBI pervs made themselves more relevant in the 1920s and 1930s. I briefly looked for it the other day, but couldn't find. It's succinct and a good intro for people who think the FBI are the good guys. Might have been in Cato or Fee. I'll have to look again.

I'm not afraid of other places. I traveled quite a bit in my youth. I just want my kids to grow up in a society that I grew up in. Although there were flaws from the beginning, relatively speaking this was a great country to grow up in up until the 2000s. As for government, the only thing it was ever needed for was defending a country. Invasions for hostile actors is the human condition. Ron Paul stated bringing our troops home and putting them on the border. I agreed with him then and still do.

I don't disagree with most of that. I have said Latin Americans shouldn't be happy about American officials influencing their politics. If Venezuela wishes to be marxist, that's fine. Just keep it out of my country. However, lines are drawn on a map for a reason. There is a reason for the difference between the border towns of Nogales, Arizona and Nogales, Mexico. This difference isn't due to racism, homophobia, or any other latest progressive fad. Despite its flaws, and despite it being cool to say the US system sucked, it really was about the best that the world had to offer until recent times. I would like to return to what we had. Bitch all you want, but there is a reason why people want to move here, and all those in the US who complain, don't move to Nogales Mexico or Venezuela. That line separates a way of life. It should be defended.

It is funny when you condescendingly tell people to educate themselves while you unironically defend a failed marxist state. A lot of my other progressive friends do the same thing. Are all failed marxist states the fault of the US, or may there be something inherently flawed in Marxism? . The US is getting looted just like everyone else because ALL nations have given up their borders to globalism. I do think that Latin Americans should see an American official who steps off a plane and shakes hands with their president as a potential invasion as much as we should see our southern border as an invasion. The same people looting all countries including our own are behind our open borders for a reason. Again, you do realize that's not just the history of the US, but rather mankind. It is not just countries with open borders who collapse, but also countries with strong borders that weren't strong enough.

Quit the self flagellations. It's not virtuous. It's cringe worthy. Venezuela failed because their people prefer marxism. I don't owe them a thing. Nor does anyone in the USA. Any "US" policy has nothing to do with me. It's globalism. The same globalists who want to flood us with Marxist immigrants and turn us into a third world nation. This is an interesting video. Ender will like it. It makes the conquistadors look bad.

I don't think that buying a plane ticket is necessary to separate. I keep hearing about how horrible our country is and how great socialist countries are that I am sure we'll be seeing massive caravans leaving the USA for Venezuela. Any day now, I am sure the commie anarchists will leave for better places.

My hair is past my shoulders, I have a full beard, and have a disdain for trendy dressing. I have wondered why past generations got overly traditional and conservative. Seeing crap like this, i can understand why a society would prefer everybody wearing a suit and tie with a crew cut. When you are getting paid, you show up to work, not look like a clown. Yeah, I like being counter culture, but these freaks are going to ruin it for everyone.

Wait. You love generalizing people in groups. You've said many times, (liberally paraphrasing on my part) "All the Republicans I know are Trump bootlicking statists." "All immigrants are business owning Ron Paul supporting...". "We need immigrants because they work hard and Americans are all lazy and expect to be paid.". Now you are saying that you don't like being lumped in with all anarchists? Come on. We all know that you regularly wear black skinny jeans and balaclavas with the latest woke patches.

I am not sure that is what the songwriters meant, but that's what I got out of it. Here's the lyrics: In a bar in Toledo across from the depot On a barstool, she took off her ring I thought I'd get closer so I walked on over I sat down and asked her name When the drinks finally hit her she said "I'm no quitter But I finally quit livin' on dreams

I looked closely at the lyrics of Lucille for the first time. It appears to be an incident with three people: Lucille, Lucille’s husband, and the narrator (Kenny). Another meaning hit me within a short while. I don’t think the story is about three people. I think it’s only the narrator (Kenny) and Lucille. The man Kenny sees in the mirror is actually himself. He was married to Lucille years ago. He sings that “for a minute I thought I was dead” not because the mountain man husband is going to beat him up, but because his soul is dead inside. Kenny is ashamed of himself for returning to Lucille. The line “I thought how she'd made him look small” is a third person reference to himself. Lucille’s looks (“she was a beauty”) is partly what makes Kenny want to return. Kenny’s mountainous stature and calloused hands make me think he is a simple, not formally educated farmer; whereas Lucille was an adventurous city girl who didn’t want four kids. The only line that threw me was Kenny asking her name. It’s not however, inconsistent because there are two Kennys in the bar: the one on the barstool and the one in mirror. The barstool Kenny attempts to forget Lucille’s transgressions to the point where he is amnesiac about her total identity, including her name. Hence, the line “I thought how he looked out of place” fits because Kenny wishes to forget Lucille’s “hurtin'” she put on him.

One of the causes of shootings like this is the "21feet rule." It's basically that a man with a knife can run up and stab a cop before he can draw, aim and fire his handgun. What's ridiculous about this is that cops use this as an excuse and I have heard a few actually say that a man with a knife is more dangerous than a man with a gun within 21 feet. However, few cops seem aware that this doesn't apply if the officer is already aiming his gun at a man with a knife. I am sure on some leo forum someone is saying that the cop standing on the hood was in danger because he was within 21 feet of the knife.

The population doesn't matter. It's the drinking water. If you would switch the population of Venezuela with the USA, the politics and prosperity of the two nations would magically stay the same way.

All of you collectivists who foolishly believe in national sovereignity, should listen to the anti-collectivists who tell you that Amerikans are all stupid, lazy statists, and immigrants from socialist nations who don't speak English are all freedom loving, hard working, family oriented folks. Hopefully the rest of the country will soon become as great as California which is on its way to becoming as awesome as Venezuela.

Most of you historically ignorant people on this forum are probably unaware, but before the bronze age, hordes of pillow warriors descended on horseback from the asiatic steppes and terrorized the early Persian and Greek civilizations. Their skills at pillow fighting was unmatched in the ancient world. We can not let the pillow man reawaken. Millions of his pillow weapons are in the hand of citizens awaiting the call of the Qanon Shaman.. Ignore it and we will lay awake in fear that a pillow will crash upon our heads wielded in the savage hands of a pillow assassin. Garland knows what's at stake.

Ah OK I see what you mean. Yeah some people do hold to that kind of an extreme faith alone, just like some Catholics (who disagree with their church's teaching on the topic) believe in Pelagianism. In the end I think the real debates are a bit more nuanced, they do matter but its not quite what some people make it out to be.

I've learned that the Faith Alone debate can be more complicated than I used to realize. And then of course there was that time period when I was at least somewhat influenced by Sola_Fide (the poster). Meh. Are you RCC or EO? And was there ever a shift there? I can't remember.
