Agree, it can not continue without a major correction. What it proves? In and of itself, not much. Its the overall trend of many stores from many different companies that needs to be observed. Im sure a lot of the stuff sold in Toys R Us is not made in the US. If the Tariff Trends continue, this could be bad for those overseas manufacturers, which could be good for us. Not sure on that either. Thing is, thats 33,000 jobs (according to the article) which is a good chunk of "new jobs created every month" that now have to be "created" to handle the people that lost their jobs. Not that they were great jobs to begin with, but they were jobs. That, in and of itself is something that the country can handle. But like I said, its the overall trend to watch, not just one chain. Lose 10 chain stores like Toys R Us, roughly equal in size, and thats 330,000 jobs that go bye bye. That is more jobs than the US "creates" every month. A major economic downturn wont hit only one chain, or a limited number of chains. It will hit EVERY business in the US. Again, watch the Trend. A severe major economic downturn or correction will hit hundreds and even thousands of businesses, and tens of thousands of individual stores. If we dont want to look at Toys R Us as the small sample, but bigger picture, try watching this related thread: The retail apocalypse has officially descended on America

Ink Cost to Consumer: $59.95 Ink Cost to Manufacture: $0.23 I think this is something we all already know about! At least on some level... So, lets hear some Libertarian solutions! Right to repair? 3rd Party Ink Cartridges at lower cost? Stop buying their garbage with a Boycott? How can we use a Free Market to have a solution that does not completely screw the customers over while not destroying ethical businesses and without govt interference?

Not sure. If all the tariffs that Trump is putting down causes these things to be made over here again, it could be a good thing. Honestly what worries me more than anything else is a flat out repeat of 2008 where its our jobs that are going away, and really still havent come back. Im sure Zippy will be in shortly to say otherwise as he always does. Overall, this does make me think there is a possibility that another economic downturn is right around the corner. One thing is for sure, if the economy does have a major downturn again (as happens every 7 years and we are overdue for our next), they will try to pin the entire thing on Trump. Not that I actually trust him to not have his own agenda either...

Nope, no bailout. Unless that just means a bunch of people willingly run in and buy stuff just to give them an increase in legit business. Mom and pop shops are the foundation of this country, not mega corporations. They are inefficient because they tend to treat employees like human beings as opposed to a disposable workforce. So by the same token, should all Mom and Pop businesses go away because their business model does not maximize profit margins at the expense of both customers and employees?

I really hope that they do not take the SyFy Channel approach of using Nuclear Weapons to solve ALL the worlds problems. Ice Volcano? No problem, just nuke it! Giant Mutant Shark-topus? No problem, just nuke it! Dark Energy Tornado? Just nuke it, or attach a flare to a propane tank and throw it at the tornado. Continental Drift? Just nuke it. Jupiter falls out of orbit? Just nuke it. Asteroid? Just nuke it. Leaky faucet? Just nuke it! Capt. Thump Rockgroin and Lt. Cmdr. Beef Hardpeck misplaced their car keys? Just nuke it! Seriously, I hope like hell they do not try to upsell Nuclear War as being a good thing by claiming that only Nuclear Winter can combat Global Warming. I have a suspicion that they are actively planning nuclear armageddon on the planet. I hope like hell I am wrong...

VPN Of course, not all VPNs are created equal. Facebook now has its own VPN which it uses to collect just as much data on its users. All Facebook's VPN does is gives Facebook the ability to record ALL internet connection activity (not just web) and all the ISP gets is encrypted data that they do not have the keys for. If anyone is considering a good VPN, I would recommend Private Internet Access.

Last time I went was years ago with a girlfriend for her kids. I dont have any kids of my own. My toy stores tend to be specialty auto parts shops and grown up toys. Toys R Us doesnt really have anything to draw in adults, like high end remote control cars or other grown up toys. I cant say how the service was because its been over a decade since Ive been to one, and yes, that does contribute to their bankruptcy, but so do other factors like Amazon, Walmart, overpriced goods, customer service, etc. One point that should be made is that parents spend extra money on toys for children. When money gets tight, cheaper toys are sought. And for most people, that extra money simply isnt there. ---

Oh, by the way, you should spend all your money on CLOUD products and CLOUD services so you give up all your control to corporations and a crony govt that throws you overboard the moment you go to collect anything owed to you. Barbers and Hairdressers also frequently end up with lung problems because the hair accumulates in the lungs. I wonder if drilling teeth may actually be the issue? When they drill, they go past the enamel and get into the Dentin, live bone. I wonder if particles of that bone dust accumulates enough in the lungs that it may actually start growing? I know they wear masks, but those masks really arent rated for safety the same way as you would have to wear a filtration system when working with large volumes of spray paints or other highly toxic chemicals. Its the only thing I can think of that makes sense so far.

Nothing is obvious to people that do not think at all. This is why the MSM exists to begin with: to tell people what to think by doing the thinking for them. Then the masses only blindly and passively accept any ideas presented by any figures of authority.

The first goal of Education is to create fixed habits of reaction to authority. This allows any information presented to divide the group and manufacture conflict, where the only thing the divided groups will agree on is that Govt is the only possible solution to resolve their conflict. They must feel the need of their group to protect them from the opposing group. Both groups will be taught Emotional Dependency so that they both try to cry to their owners to "tell the other group that I am right on this topic". Both will maintain the conflict by educators introducing any cause which contradicts their world views. Eventually, they will all abandon their own ideas due to the negative responses from their own identified groups when ideas that challenge their group leaders concepts and be taught to have positive responses when they willingly accept any ideas they believe will unify them, such as expansion of of their group by labeling their group as government with the intent of revoking the rights of the opposing groups. They will be dependent on the group for support and protection, while the group itself will never support their individuality. They must be made to be hopelessly dependent on those that divide people into conflicting groups. Divide and Conquer. Think like a Manipulator does to genuinely resist their goals.

Doubtful. Anything at core level control would identify both the actual IP as well as VPN IP. Thing is, at that point, VPN is probably absolutely useless since the point of a VPN would be to hide the IP from whatever external site is connected to. A VPN would only be useful on a non compromised external redirection of traffic, so the VPN would have to be hardware based on an external router upstream of the computers traffic. At this level, I doubt even a fantastic firewall would make a difference. The malware on the computer level would most likely be able to establish connections that the firewall would not identify as a threat. Firewalls in recent years have been becoming more and more useless since the majority of people do not like to be "annoyed" when a firewall asks about outgoing connections from damn near every program on the computer.

The difference between "good" and "bad" is Subjective. Look at this from the true rulers point of view. You have a national economy whose GDP (and just sayin') is 1000 dollars. You run up a Trade Deficit of 100 dollars. Then, you devalue both the currency and the debt by printing money, and have a GDP of 10000 with no actual increase in production. That 100 Trade Deficit is now 1% rather than 10% of your GDP. Thus, for those that benefit by money manipulation, debasing the currency and having a Trade Deficit is a "good" thing. From the point of view of the public, who now either has to work 10 times as hard to stay where they are at, this is a "bad" thing. Understanding the perspective of those who intend to do you harm enables you to see who truly benefits. Those that truly benefit will always use multiple tactics to prevent logical conclusions from being drawn. Sometimes it is easiest to list methods they use. For example, pointing out contradictory information using baked numbers, like Zippy, discrediting the person saying it and not the idea, "moving the goalpost", humor to distract and redirect focus, but rarely will they ever actually try to attack the ideas drawn by logical conclusions as it is a battle that can not be won. This isnt a comprehensive list as there are many other tactics used to evade their bullshit ideas being shot down by logic. Now, go back and take a look at pretty much anything the Zippy acct posts in regards to Economics and you'll see a pattern and a series of supporting bogus ideas with purposeful application of various methods. Why would he do such a thing? Consider all possibilities. One is he genuinely does not understand, despite having intelligence enough to understand it. The other possibility is that he / they benefit at your expense and the goal is to discredit honest economics, if there even is such a thing.

Education is NOT about learning what the world actually is. Education is Force. Education is the extension of the rulers to forcibly repeat propaganda. Education is training to accept brainwashing. Education has an expectation to accept any idea presented by the "teacher", the same way the church called Galileo a Heretic for even entertaining the idea that there are more worlds than just the earth and the universe does not revolve around the earth. Education has several purposes. The first of which is create a fixed set of reactions to authority. That reaction is to immediately lower ones mental defenses against bullshit and blindly accept what ever they are told to be true instead of backing up their statements with practical application and testing themselves instead of the students. Thus, educators dont teach that Math works because "watch this", then give examples. Education is about "math works because Govt says it does". Its quite funny how math doesnt ever work in Economics. Our schools today do not create equality in communities by objectifying what is known to be true. Schools are merely Mass Psychology Indoctrination Centers that are apparently intentionally manufacturing conflict over the most basic concepts of knowledge. They are Divisive. They divide those who believe the data against those that do not. They divide males against females, and systematically exclude those who may not fall into either category cleanly, such as hermaphrodites. Schools divide young against old by teaching something completely contradictory. Schools are creating Gender Identity Confusion. Schools teach Dependency. Schools teach to harass and shun any who are not just like them. Schools retard maturity. Schools destroy Individuality. Schools break students spirits that they may be remolded into the imperfect obedient worker, designed to service the Industrial Revolution, which is no longer underway, thus leaving them with no place or purpose. The lessons of schools is the Tests themselves, not the subject matter. Schools prey in a predatory fashion on the natural imperfections of the human psyche to accept programming without challenge. Schools give rigorous tests frequently to create crosstalk interference between System 1 and System 2 of the mind which results in a negative association with learning. Schools intend on stupidifying the smart. Schools destroy Common Sense. John Taylor Gatto - The Purpose Of Schooling (in America)

Theres always a choice. The Illusion is that a person is not offered a choice, and they will always threaten violence against the people to protect themselves. And like Ron Paul said, making anything illegal only creates a Black Market for it. Thus, if unregistered firearms are made illegal, it is the govt, not the people, that created the underground gun market.

What good is ANY restriction on the purchase of firearms if Determined Criminals NEVER buy their guns and instead choose to STEAL them? The REAL goal is to disarm the Law Abiding Citizen.

Is a Future Revolution Possible Without Privacy?

by DamianTV on 03-11-2013 at 02:16 PM
(This was a post that I slightly edited to make sense by itself. The original post is here.)

Very few people are looking toward the Future when Privacy is Impossible. But if Privacy is completely gone, will a Revolution even be possible?

Google GlASS might be able to record what you do right now as a video, but this will only be the first in a long series of progressively privacy invading advancements. One of them inevitably will be Google Contact Lenses. However,
