Related article I read today: Censorship And Suppression Of Free Speech Online Is A ‘War Against Ideas’ Propaganda has TWO major parts. Most of us pick up on the "Repeat the Lie" part, but there is another major half of Propaganda for it to work, and that is to OMIT any ideas which reveal the lie or promote / teach thinking for ones self. Belief, Money, Violence A persons system of Belief can be used to enslave them just as well as it can be used to Liberate them. If the voices of those who use their words to Liberate the minds of others while only allowing a subject to have access to is ideas that Enslave them, what is the likely outcome? Propaganda is used to empower smaller groups or individuals to control entire groups.

Agree. "Do No Evil" is just as deceptive as putting the face of Andrew Jackson on the $20 fiat currency bill when his epitaph is "I killed the Bank", referring to the 2nd Central Bank of the US. Data on people is the ability to control people, thus, Data is a New Currency to be exchanged between the elite and powerful.

04-23-2018, 01:31 PM If you have a Facebook acct, then Facebook knows who you like and everything you do, on Facebook. Google on the other hand doesnt care if you have a Google account, but look at how hard they push you to have a Google account. Facebook is one website people go to. Google is one step higher, writing the software that serves many websites and other "free tools", like WP or Google Analytics. Due to the use of Google tools, Google phones, Google browsers, Google has the ability to collect an order of magnitude more information than Facebook. Much like Amazon is positioned not to take place in the market but to be the ENTIRE market, Google is positioned to BE the internet as almost everything runs on Googles "free" stuff.

The big problem is that these people pay taxes. So they are paying govt to pay for their own food stamps. Basically buying their own chains of slavery.

04-22-2018, 01:24 AM Many of Amazon's warehouse workers have to buy their groceries with food stamps through America's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, reports the Intercept. In Arizona, new data suggests that one in three of the company's own employees depend on SNAP to put food on the table. In Pennsylvania and Ohio, the figure appears to be around one in 10. Overall, of five states that responded to a public records request for a list of their top employers of SNAP recipients, Amazon cracked the top 20 in four. Though the company now employs 200,000 people in the United States, many of its workers are not making enough money to put food on the table... "The average warehouse worker at Walmart makes just under $40,000 annually, while at Amazon would take home about $24,300 a year," CNN reported in 2013. "That's less than $1,000 above the official federal poverty line for a family of four." In addition Amazon uses temp workers who may also be on food stamps, notes the article, adding that in 2017 Amazon received $1.2 billion in state and local subsidies, while effectively paying no federal income tax.

Its a two way street. I dont like making choices for others. Im also not fond of trying to limit anyones choices, which includes both you and your customers. It should be beyond the scope of my ability or authority to make those decisions. The trouble is, there is very little option to opt out for people. The default is to be tracked and targeted. Most people do not know how to block ads. They rely on add ons and extensions to do that for them. Sadly, many of the Ad Blockers are forms of Malware (link underlined). People are becoming desperate to block these ads because of various reasons, a big one is being tracked. But I do understand your point that there are advantages to it. These big companies never operate as "Opt In". I just hate it when big companies demand to track all their customers. Not you specifically so dont take it personal, I mean like Walmart or Target. When their petty employees demand to track me, thats when I walk out the door and dont ever come back, because they think they have a Right to make those choices for me. They dont, no more than I can tell you how to run your business. If you have something I am looking for and the price is reasonable, I would buy something from your store. Demand that I like you on Facebook or you'll charge me more (also, not you, apartments here do this), Im out the door and wont come back. That to me is beyond the scope of simple transactions.

Most people wouldnt pay that close of attention to the details in the video. They might play it, then go look at their cell phones. That distraction causes those details to be completely miss that you were able to spot. People are misdirected all the time. Sometimes they are naive enough to genuinely believe what they are doing is foolproof. Facial Recognition Technology is one example. Oh it will take years before anyone could develop tech sophisticated enough to bypass Facial Recognition. The inventors never gave credit to the genuine ingenuity of people to take down even the most complex systems. Such as hacking Facial Recognition with a simple photo of a person. Same applies to this video. The techniques are mindblowingly simple and dont require sophisticated tech to deceive viewers. The trouble is twofold. Both the Liars, such as MSM or genuine "Fake News", as well as the ignorant people who believe the lies.

Right after Nixon "temporarily" suspended the convertibility of cash to gold, and we ended up with the Petro Dollar, hmm... ----- It is said that the Rich represent the past of our country, the economic opportunities that existed in the past. The Middle Class represents the Future of a country, based on the economic opportunities that exist currently. If we have no Middle Class today, there will be less Rich in the future. A few of the rich will be even richer, but the opportunity to ever get to that level no longer exists. Since the rich are supported by the existence of a Middle Class, eventually even the rich will fall as well.

Believe me, Im torn on it too. And yes, the Tiny Tyranny can be even worse than giant distant central government. I think its the Scale that should be considered. In small groups, the voice of the individual can be easily heard without shouting. In large groups, the voice of the same individual is so drown out that not even shouting is effective. Neither idea works at all when those in power choose to not listen.

Agree. First, "no such thing as a free lunch". Next, "if you cant find the product, you ARE the product". Next, in a truly Free Market, no business can compete with a government that provides anything "for free". But since nothing is truly ever free, the costs come from somewhere. I think its the Scale that confuses people in what is free. Such as a "free sample". At the smallest scale of perspective, a person can eat the sample "for free", but stepping back, who ever is giving that "free sample" is incurring that cost as a form of advertisement. This site is another good example of "free". Josh used to own the site, and he paid out of his own pocket for it, but made it "free" to us. He offset the cost of running the site with donations. How much time do our Site Owners spend on maintaining our "free" site? We arent paying them for their time, and they arent asking that we do pay them to be a part of the community. Getting bigger "free health care" is afforded by either taxation or inflation. Funding has to come from somewhere. In a Free Market, the price is determined by supply and demand. Other things are also factored in, such as time to create a product or provide a service, overhead, and labor costs. But what happens when that "free health care" is used to prohibit competition? Even when it is not, how is "free" paid for? Who incurs those costs? Too often, it is the poorest that pay the highest price for "free".

Is a Future Revolution Possible Without Privacy?

by DamianTV on 03-11-2013 at 02:16 PM
(This was a post that I slightly edited to make sense by itself. The original post is here.)

Very few people are looking toward the Future when Privacy is Impossible. But if Privacy is completely gone, will a Revolution even be possible?

Google GlASS might be able to record what you do right now as a video, but this will only be the first in a long series of progressively privacy invading advancements. One of them inevitably will be Google Contact Lenses. However,
