McAfee seemed to really like Petersen. I would love a Petersen/McAfee ticket since McAfee seems set on his VP pick.

You said it yourself, Johnson only got media attention because of his poll numbers. Why is he getting those numbers? Because Hillary and Trump are 2 of the most hated nominees ever(?). Johnson hasn't done anything to gain that attention other than not being Trump or Hillary. In fact the only attention Johnson has garnered on his own as of late has been negative (mostly due to his VP pick). Do I think Austin Peterson would get that attention if he won the nomination? Yes (if not more), he's already gotten multiple endorsements from conservative media, he's closer to Rand/Ron, Amash, Massie etc. than GJ. He has much greater appeal to the anti-Trump folks and can also appeal to the anti-Hillary people. He is much more capable of articulating his ideas than GJ. etc. You keep downplaying Austin Petersen but why is he seriously challenging GJ? If GJ was as great as you portray him as then this wouldn't even be a discussion. But hey Austin Petersen doesn't have a Wikipedia page...

The LP is a fringe party with limited media exposure. The reason GJ is getting the most attention is because he's the presumed frontrunner and a lot of people hate Hillary and Trump. It has little to do with GJ (2012). In fact I've seen more outsiders endorse AP.

I agree the LP owes the GOP nothing but I do wish they would refrain from attacking fellow libertarians (or even libertarian leaning candidates/politicians) unnecessarily. Libertarians becoming more prominent, even if they're in the GOP, is a good thing for the LP. Why they don't understand that is probably a big reason why they haven't succeeded in achieving that 5% mark.

Well liked? What did he accomplish in 2012? What has he done to improve on that? Oh right trash other libertarians, but hey it's our fault he isn't getting more support. Just an fyi I voted for him in 2012 even though I wasn't a fan of his and disagreed with a lot of his positions.

Easier said than done. Rand has built coalitions before but you already know that since you follow him, the unfortunate fact about Congress is most of those people don't care. They care about getting reelected, so if they got shamed into supporting it maybe they'd care but then I'm sure they'll find a way to make it a partisan issue just like everything else.

The more I hear from GJ the less I like him. Also never liked what he said about the Pauls and how he thinks he's better or more libertarian than them and this video just reinforces that. Plus I really don't think he's a very good candidate. At this point I think I could only support AP (yes I know he said some questionable stuff in the past) and maybe McAfee

I meant that Rand's statement isn't controversial on this forum. If he was calling for sanctions on ____ this thread would be at least 10 pages. Plus Rand is held to a different standard, he writes something like this and it's something expected so a marginal response but if Trump wrote the exact same article the thread would get to 10 pages, that should be indicative of who the real ally is and who isn't but we already went through that experience with the primaries. I agree with you though, Rand should get the praise he deserves but instead people would rather nitpick on little issues and slobber over awful candidates.

He is and he isn't. There are too many of them in his political circle for anyone to declare that he's leaving them in the dust but I am enjoying the Kristol and co. meltdown. Kristol's twitter is great for a laugh.

Depends on the reason why you're voting for him, same applies to Trump or Clinton. A lot of the reasons I've seen on supporting Trump has been pretty idiotic but if there are valid reasons then I won't judge (well at least I'll try not to) a person for it even if I disagree.

This isn't controversial. People love controversy/conflict etc.

Looked at who they were following, first person was Bill Kristol. Then checked Bill's twitter and saw that he was upset that some of his neocon buddies were supporting Trump instead of his DOA 3rd party idea.

Curious which browser are you using? I'd recommend either Firefox or Chrome and install the Adblock Plus addon or uBlock Origin (I prefer this one). It'll block those pesky ads, especially on unknown websites that you may not trust 100%. You can always turn it off although I'd still be careful. Also make sure to keep Flash updated, check at least once a week. Oh and if you don't use Java I'd uninstall it (again personal preference). Other advice given is good as well.

Greenwald must have some rose colored glasses because Brazil has been incredibly corrupt for a long time. Beautiful country and nice people (obviously stay away from the dangerous and poor parts just like anywhere else) but they are held back by high levels of corruption and awful policies.

If you're referring to my map I don't think it's likely just was thinking of a possible route to victory if Trump panders to the blue collar type that would help in the mid-west. I think he'll have a tough time with the border states.

I find it hard to believe he has a shot at this moment but if there was a route to victory it's to win the blue collar mid-west states, something like this:

I wouldn't say it's that clear cut, the last 3 Republican nominees all don't support Trump but then you have someone like Cheney who does. I just find it humorous that the same people who went out of their way to prevent Ron Paul from succeeding or causing dissension are the ones floating out 3rd party runs or openly saying they won't support Trump.

Pretty sure that's the goal. I'm not a Trump fan or supporter and I'm not voting for him but it's funny to see the establishment/neocons being poor sports when they don't get their way when they're the ones always trying to preach loyalty and unity (but only when it's stuff they want).

Lose-lose situation. He endorses Trump people complain, he doesn't endorse Trump people complain. Right now the NeverTrump people are being led by the Neocons and establishment. Let them be the whiners. In the likely event that Trump loses either they'll get the blame or Trump will. Rand is standing by his word, he said he'd endorse the nominee and he's doing what he said.
