Don't those same passages in Romans give Kim Jung Un the same power over North Koreans that they bestow on Washington over us? Lord, St. Paul, the idiots you did empower.

Have you looked into the Federal Reserve? You get taught that it's a harmless entity that tries to control the supply of our money to prevent recessions and make the ones it can't prevent less destructive, but always seems to fail at that, as the worst recessions the nation has ever seen have all happened since it took over. In reality it's a collection of the world's richest banks who were given the ability to make money the old fashioned way--they get to print it. They have 'managed' the money supply in such a way that the dollar is worth a nickel--a person with a nickel in 1913 could buy just as much as a person with a dollar today, and a person with a dollar back then could buy as much as a person with twenty bucks today. The middle class is gone because the dollar buys less every day, but your boss won't give you a raise every day. The dollar is also required to buy oil. Country X is not allowed to buy oil from Country Y with their own currency, or Country Y's currency, or gold, or any thing else. They have to buy dollars first, then use the dollars to buy the oil. This is what the term petrodollar means. It allows the Federal Reserve to print more dollars without the value of the dollar not just going down, but plummeting, because it creates additional demand for the dollar. Countries buy oil with the petrodollar for a simple reaon. Iraq sold oil for gold in the late nineties, and suddenly we were being told they had yellowcake uranium. Selling oil for something other than dollars is fatal. Not exactly what eighteen year olds are told by all those recruiters, eh? But it's a fact. The Fed is tied to the age-old Rothschild family. Official central banks are their family business, and have been for centuries. In the year of 2000 the seven countries without a Rothschild owned or controlled Central Bank were Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, Libya, Cuba, North Korea and Iran. The only countries left in 2011 without a Central Bank owned or controlled by the Rothschild Family are Cuba, North Korea and Iran. Do those names sound familiar? Have you heard Lindsay Graham calling for you to join the army and go kick their asses on Sunday mornings?

They simply did not do it. McAuliffe is trying to give Geller an out, a convenient excuse to use for not doing the job, and Geller is like, we don't need an excuse. We could have done our job and we didn't. So there.

Acetic acid, D-limonene and ordinary dish soap are very effective and it does not hurt the soil microbes. Toxic herbicides/pesticides have stripped our soils of the good minerals, is it any wonder why people are so unhealthy? Oh and this is nothing new, in the late 1930's Government was well aware of these issues and even addressed it. I guess we can thank Lincoln, once again, for implementing the DoA.

If you're dead set on using existing government labor to build roads you'd be better off using bureaucrats. Get the suit-n-tie, silk-panty crowd out in the dirt and sun and keep them away from pens and guns. No more edicts and no more 'enforcement' of the current edicts...

Actually, we used to have a few laws that we're not doing all that well without. Like a law limiting how many media outlets one entity could own. No law ever gets repealed--except the ones that actually protect the common people.

Clearly learning from the past, and maintaining a historic record so our posterity can do the same, is a losing proposition too. Not to mention honoring people who rose above the barbaric mores of their primitive times, and made decisions when there was no good choice to make. I'm surprised the human race has lasted as long as it has.

So the ACLU is bad because it's fair, and as blind as true justice to everything but the facts. The Left is eating its own. Is the Right smart enough to affiliate with the Left's quality castoffs? If we let Left and Right make us hesitate to embrace anything which values truth and substance over style and fads, we lose, and the Deep State and their useful idiots win. Or rather, the Deep State wins, and their useful idiots don't go to the gulag until after we do. I've seen libertarians turn their noses up at people and groups of real quality before, because they're associated with The Left. Bill Moyer is one, and the ACLU itself is another. Well, folks, the $#!+ is getting real, and we had better get over that foolishness real damned fast.

From Drudge; Florida prisons — all of them — on lockdown All of Florida’s 97,000 state prison inmates are on lockdown — and will remain confined to their dorms at least through the weekend — in response to unspecified threats about potential rioting, officials from the Florida Department of Corrections confirmed Thursday. All able-bodied officers, including new recruits, were ordered to report to work starting Thursday. Graduations have been postponed this weekend so that new officers can assist with staffing and help conduct searches for weapons and other contraband, FDC said. Probation officers, too, have been brought in.

Yesterday, 07:13 PM Chanced upon an article in the Australian Financial Review ("Red Robber Barons Back in the USSR" by Anne Applebaum). It is the same as this book review published in NY Times. The book being reviewed is Karen Dawisha's Putin's Kleptocracy. A talk by Karen about her book, below I also came across Padma Desai's letter to the Financial Timeswhich states clearly. Mr Putin remains an egocentric, authoritarian ruler. In the old days, the tsars ignored the nobility (boyars) at their peril. Leonid Brezhnev, leader from 1964-1982, had to deal with the politburo of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. By contrast, Mr Putin is an absolute ruler. The Russian legislature is his rubber-stamping body. Despite the amnesty measures, Russia remains a police state with widespread controls on internet activity and public meetings all unveiled under presidential executive orders. For some misguided reason I was relatively sanguine about Russia after reading relatively positive articles in newspapers/magazines over the years. Here's one that I randomly picked up from the internet. Moscow is supposedly a modern city. Padma Desai's talk in Melbourne a couple of years ago depicted a modestly positive picture. But after reading this book review, I wrote to her and she responded that she has not read the book yet. But she recommended I read her letter in Financial Times (which I've cited above). Clearly she has changed her stance re: Putin.

Not really. What Trump did was predict that these people are going to double down and become even more ridiculous. And what she's doing is deciding proving him right by becoming even more ridiculous is one hell of a good idea.

Well, keeping a journal of the types of pressure an elected representative gets from the local constituents wouldn't be as interesting and instructive as the pressures K Street and their colleagues bring to bear. But it could still be enough material for an educational and entertaining book.

If that's what you wanted to say, why didn't you? What does that have to do with you trying to make a point by saying something entirely different? Is TheCount a DNC troll as you and NCL claim? Wouldn't be surprised. His posts often fit the pattern, and he certainly did pick a screen name which was a slight variation of the name of a popular poster who had recently dropped out at that time. Just the way AuH20 did. Just as though they hoped they would be mistaken for the other, and fit in, and no one would question them. But I've also seen NCL admit to being a close associate of someone who openly came here as an ambassador for Stormfront or some such racist group, in complete and obvious defiance of the stated site mission of promoting Ron Paul. And I've seen you, over the years, do everything I would do to this place if I were a COINTEL pro. And here I see the three of you working in perfect concert to devolve this whole forum into a meaningless, supercilious Left v. Right screaming match, even though real libertarians are neither left nor right.
